Varus

He had been chosen to guard this temple and the corruption within with his life. His extraordinary skill with his bow would allow him to slay masses of people who wished to come through. Even the Noxians who came that day could not come past him, from the temple he had decided to defend instead of his village, which he loved so. He had decided to leave his people in their time in need to defend something that he did not even know the power of. While he chose to do this, his village had been burned to the ground, and seeing this, he took anguish. He wished to slay those who had done this, yet he still had his duty to protect the temple, and it's corruption. Knowing this, he himself went into the temple, and took upon this corruption, Pallas, into himself. Now that what he needed to protect lay within himself, he now had the ability to take vengeance on those who had massacred his people. Varus could now go and become the arrow of retribution.

Poppy

Spending hours in the forge, Poppy was unlike the other little yordles. Instead of playing around, she would be at work at the forge helping her father, Blomgrun. Her father saw talent in Poppy, and lovingly helped her hone the craft. One day, Blomgrun was issued to craft a grand helm by Demacian general Florin Berell, and with his, and Poppy's expertise, they were able to make a fabulous helm. It seemed that word of the helm leaked to Noxian High Command, and while delivering the helm, they were attacked by two Noxian assassins. Blomgrun distracted the assassins long enough for Poppy to escape with helm at hand, only for her to watch her father die while she lay helpless to stop it. Determined with grit, the young yordle continued to Demacia alone, and refused payment when presenting the helm, saying that no amount of money would compensate her father's death. As she offered it as a gift, Florin saw her determination, and requested the leadership of Bandle City appoint Poppy as ambassador to Demacia, as the aspiring yordle had gone on when all was lost.
