Bilgewater: Burning Tides

Hey Summoners,

Is there any sort of database where all of the event webpage links are compiled. I don't just mean a list of events and rewards like in the League wiki. I'm talking about a list of the lore heavy, beautifully artistic websites that started coming with events around 2014 or 2015. I'm returning after a LoL hiatus and am interested in seeing the events that have happened since I've been gone and if those lore heavy events are still happening.

To Clarify: around 2014/2015 I played a lot of LoL. I absolutely loved the lore intensive event pages that would give a short story, some fantastic art, beautiful background music, and some kind of panorama (e.g. the Burning Tides https://universe.leagueoflegends.com/en_US/region/bilgewater/) So far as I can tell the short stories have been compiled on the wiki and the website as well as some of the art. However, the immersive setting with the panorama and the music with lore details littering the pages were just the bee's knees.

If it helps I do remember some of the other events that I can't seem to find the website links in the wiki or main website.

Other events: -Shurima/ascension -Something in Piltover with Ekko's release -Something in the star universe with an absolutely amazing panorama -An event with a classical Japanese are aesthetic

Any help in finding these links or information about the status of this kind of storytelling in LoL would be greatly appreciated.

Ha! I actually made a document for these sites, because they are hard to find and aren't used or referenced this much anymore. Sadly, it might be incomplete, and it appears that Riot isn't doing them anymore, but I'm still glad that putting together this doc paid off.

Right now, most of the stuff is just happening on Universe and the Map. Short Stories, Biographies, Comics. Cinematics on Youtube, sometimes also on Universe. Caveat: Comics might be different soon, and there is a lot of new stuff coming as well: (At least) two more independent games from Riot Forge, a novella, and a fucking Animated Series.

Anyway, it's nice to see you are still interested in the lore, here are some of the things you were looking for:

Shurima: https://na.leagueoflegends.com/en/featured/shurima/intro Most important here is Taliyah's Journey, so Bird & Branch and Bloodline. Interestingly enough, it hasn't really progressed while you were gone. There were a few stories here and there, but basically it's still Azir vs Xerath doing nothing for 5 years.

Piltover / Medarda Heirloom: https://na.leagueoflegends.com/en/featured/piltover and https://na.leagueoflegends.com/en/featured/piltover/medarda-heirloom Except for the reveal of Ixtal, this is pretty much the most recent thing for Piltover / Zaun. Wait... there are rumours of a criminal in Zaun...

You linked Burning Tides, but did you also read Shadow and Fortune? To this day, it remains the longest piece of lore ever written. Also related is the Shadow Isles Page, though beware, it's a bit outdated. Mordekaiser and Evelynn both received reworks and are not considered SI champions anymore (but Mordekaiser is still metal AF, just in proto-Noxus now).

Star Universe is probably the Star Guardians with the Burning Bright music video. Not sure what event would fit a classical japanese aesthetic, it could either be Blood Moon or one of the Lunar Revel events.

Some other things you should read if you want to stay up to date: Senna, Sylas, Ixtal. Yup, Senna is a champion now, while Sylas is an addition to Demacia driving the plot forward. Ixtal is a new Region, revealed in the jungle.
