A Toggle for Viktor's New Walk?

Hi everyone! I'm a long-time fan of Viktor (I played him before his update, even, back in the old Augment Death days) and I've been trying to campaign for a change to his new, slower walk animation since it came out. I am personally not a fan of it, as it is not only unfitting (to me, at least) to Viktor's character - but it also messes with the way I CS and cast abilities. In fact, I play Creator Viktor now just so I don't have to play with his new walk! (Yes, yes, insert "adapt or be removed" joke here.) Before the update, I played Prototype pretty much exclusively. With that background out of the way, here's my suggestion: allow Viktor's new walk to be toggleable, just like how Heimerdinger has a toggleable walk between his pre-VU walk and his post-VU walk.

I am not asking for a full reversion, as I know there are plenty of players that do enjoy his new walk - and I know how it feels to have something you like taken away. I think a toggle would be the best solution, as it allows players to enjoy both variants. Also, Viktor's post-tier-2-boots walk is still the same as it was before this update. Because of this, it's not the case that a toggle would require adding an animation back into the game. Thanks for your time!

Definitely support the idea of toggleable walk animations for both sides.

If you don't like the new animation, you should be able to change it back mid-game or before loading into a match, and if you like the new animations you should be able to keep those regardless of what boot-tier you have.

I love Shen's new animation (walking forward with one hand outstretched and the other gripping his sword) but the second I get boots, I don't get to see it anymore. It sucks having a badass animation like that for only 6-10 minutes.

Really curious here, how does a change of walking animation without any gameplay change affect your cs and casting? Not calling you out or anything, would just like to know the reason

The walk is an abomination and I hate it. I can't play him without having a weird feeling. The walk just doesn't fit. Agree with you.

Could say the same about TF and Shen. I really like Karma's though.

Yeah they should let us pick which walking animation we want. I have no idea why Zyra needs to look like she's strutting down a catwalk.

A lot of the new walk cycles look bizarre and/or unfitting. I think the absolute worst offenders are Fiora and Twisted fate. Fiora looks like she's being pulled along by her sword and is incredibly stiff, and Twisted Fate's new walk cycle is entirely too slow. The natural walk speed of his model is faster than the animation, so he looks like he's gliding across the floor.

I think the idea of a toggle for the player for any of these updated walk cycles would have made sense. These are fairly minor updates in nature, so I don't see the harm in it. The fact that they gave us the option to still use Heimerdinger's swag walk shows that it is possible.

The new walk animations are bizarre

I don't personally think it'd be worth the work, but if there was some sort of "toggle", it should only be client side, because your opponent has to look at your animation too, so if differences between animations troubles you, it could mess with an opponent too. I can't speak on the issue too much though as I don't really play Viktor nor have I seen the new anims.
