Just a question for Riot

Are there going to be any new 5V5 maps made for LoL in the future? I'm not saying the immediate future, just, some time down the road?

I really would like it if there was more than ONE 5V5 map. I look at Heroes of the Storm, and how it has multiple maps that are worth playing. Yes, each one has different objectives, but just the variations in scenery are rather enjoyable, and you never really know which map you're going to be playing, as it is chosen at random from the pool of maps.

I realize that creating another 5V5 map on the scale of the updated SR is a MONUMENTAL task, and would require ALOT of work. But I don't think the idea is impossible. Look at Butcher's Bridge replacing Howling Abyss in ARAM games during the "Burning Tides" lore event. It largely served the same purpose as Howling Abyss, but the change in scenery was quite interesting. It gave us players a more "tangible" view of Bilgewater. It helped us to say, "Hey, this place REALLY EXISTS in the world of Runeterra!" And with the enlarged world you're trying to concoct with the updated Lore, I would think a number of potential areas could be created.

Perhaps a new 5V5 map set in the deserts of Shurima, with the many dangerous beasts of the desert acting as the Jungle monsters? Or perhaps in a Noxus-conquered, destroyed cityscape? Maybe an area of Ionia that was made desolate by the war with Noxus? Or an arena in Zaun, with the pipes and machinery creating a fantasy-steampunk look? I'm not sure if it would line up with the updated lore considering all the Anti-Magic stuff Demacia has now, but an awe-inspiring stroll through it's gold and white-laden cities would be quite interesting too. I'd love to see a look at Piltover even, with possibly experimental Hex-tech beasts acting as the Jungle monsters.

If anyone who's reading this has ideas on this subject, feel free to share! I'd just love to really SEE more of the world of Runeterra!
