Bard's Video

Is riot trying to pull a Dark Souls move in their lore department with a "Show don't tell" with this new "lore" and most recently, bard's video? Because if that is the case, they are failing at it. Horribly. My best guess is the video takes place during the invasion of Ionia and Noxius was after the Artifacts? But that can't be right, it is Riot, after all
