I noticed that yesterday and I had no idea it was a thing, and I can't tell you how excited I am lol. I am an absolute SUCKER for in game teasers of new champions.
Yeah, we need something. Before the new Lucian story and the incredible short story "The Echoes Left Behind" from earlier this year, the region was completely dead lore-wise since 2016 other than some cool stuff when the universe map came out. Hell, with Mordekaiser being moved to Noxus (which makes sense) the region arguably has less going on than it did previously. Here's hoping we get some worthwhile updates. I primarily want to know what the Ruined King is up to these days since I previously always just assumed he was depressed and being tortured by Mordekaiser as a trophy, but we also know from the universe that there are some benevolent spirits who can break free of the Mist just like the evil champions we know about and I want those factions to be explored too.

In terms of lore content, Riot might just focus on Lucian and his relationship with the new champion, and just leave it at that. But if there was more of a Shadow Isles 'event' coming, then I'm hoping for/predicting some bio revisions for Karthus, Yorick, Elise & Maokai. Since their biographies all pre-date Swain's rework so there's a good chance the writers want to readdress their bio page and iron out some old kinks that might exist.

I feel like Elise deserves some more lore. She barely has any, she just has a story of what she is and how she became it, and there's only ONE video I could find on YouTube that reads it. I think Necrit also did it but it was just something he threw into a video about the Shadow Isles. No lore theories, no comics or anything. I don't even know if she has a short story.
