I'm also not sure why they added the tattoo, given she never had any tattoo, as well as the fact it's likely to look horrible in-game if they have it on the character model too (see Traditional Lee Sin).

This is a personal opinion. I like Akali's face of the past ... She is a character that my country's culture will be a motif. So I have an attachment for her. I liked her big lovely eyes despite being sharp gaze like Ninja. I was expecting that she would be even better. I do not get a good impression in "various ways" about the new Akali's eyes ... Again,this is a personal opinion.
Now that's a sexy splash that builds character!
The thing is that a lot of people here are just talking about covering Akali up, and that's something that isn't really necessary, as the clothing she has on in the Splash Art are perfect for an assassin like her. Everyone keeps saying that she would need a at least some armor, or some "light protection" that implements cloth, and everyone knows that cloth is pretty much useless in defensive measures. I know a full metal plated armor like Zed's, or a leather and metal one like Shen's would be looking...Good?...On Akali I guess, but I honestly believe that's not her style and it wouldn't be possible anyway, cause those would be just heavy to lug around. The thing is that, the person up here did whatever they could on giving Akali a new and fresh look, that for me is really cool. The side-boobs and cleavage got quite covered up leaving space for some skin to show off, and for some of the awesome tattoos that give Akali more personality, than the blank green coat she had before. We should appreciate that she had the time to do such amazing things, and maybe grow up just a little bit, and think that maybe some thigh or skin showing isn't that bad.
