League of Legends Theory: Who Killed The Elder In Yasuo's Lore? (Remember to read until end)

Hello, and I was thinking about who killed the elder in Yasuo's lore. Now, the main culprit is Riven, after all her ultimate is WIND slash, she was part of the Noxian invasion against Ionia. It all just seems to convenient, right? No. Riven did not kill the elder. Let me explain. You might be saying "Of course she killed the elder who else knows a wind technique and fought in the Noxian invasion blah blah blah", but let me show you. In Riven's lore it said... "fields of death" notice the word fields. If you look in Yasuo's lore he was part of the Noxian invasion to, and it sounds like he lives in a small town not a big battle zone. But who else could it be? Well, it says that Yasuo was the only person in his generation to master a wind technique. Notice anything strange? MASTER. Whoever said that the person who killed Yasuo's elder mastered a wind technique. They could have been learning. So let's look at every champion that has something to do with wind. 1. Yasuo 2. Riven 3. Janna 4. Master Yi 5. Anivia. That is really all I could find that look suspicious. So we looked at Riven, we know it's not Yasuo, let's look at Janna. It wouldn't be Janna because she is from Piltover she has no reason to kill some elder. Anivia is from the Frejlord she wouldn't have any reason. Master Yi is VERY interesting now. Let's look at Master Yi's lore. Even before Yi mastered Wuju, he was considered one of the most skilled practitioners of the mystical martial art. He would soon prove his mastery when word of a massive Noxian invasion reached his remote village. Let's look at 1 key things here. The first is that Master Yi was in a REMOTE VILLAGE during the Noxian invasion. Now, if you look at Yasuo's lore it sounds like he was in a little village. Now you may be saying "master yi doesnt use wind techniques and y da fudge would he betray ionia u r stupid plz quit league". But here's hard cold proof that he did it. Obviously I told you they both fought in a village, it doesn't say it on Yasuo's lore but it sure as heck sounds like it. Now in his lore it said he was mad at everybody blah blah blah until Wukong teached him. Now, you might be saying "omg yi's village was destroyed was yasuos no lz quit league". But what I think happened was he found the school when running from Singed and went their to hide. Now this was as the village was being destroyed, he ran away. He was mad he saw the elder and the elder tried to calm him down. But Yi was mad at the elder for doing that and killed the elder. Now don't say "u r a dumbo yi doesn't use wind techniques still need to quit league", but, if you look at Master Yi's Q, Alpha Strike, it appears that WIND is behind him when he does this attack. So what I think happened was he used Alpha Strike which has wind in it to kill the elder and went back to his village to only find it destroyed. Now minutes after he left in Yasuo's village Yasuo had come back to find the elder dead. And he got accused. Tell me what you think in the comments below!!!

Gods... can you please use the button "Enter"? its a torture to read that.

And now... some things that i will clarify:

Janna was not born in Piltover, she born in Zaun... and Zaun helped Noxus during the Ionian War. So, its not impossible that she participated in the war.... even thought its unlikely Anivia Can fly, but she doesn't use wind techniques... i mean, Corki can fly, Fiddlesticks uses birds to attack, Aatrox has wings... But they dont use wind techniques.... i mean, Galio would be a better choice instead of Anivia, since he actually uses wind magic.

MasterYi Master Yi uses the "Wuju Style", and has 0 connections to the Wind. He has no reasons for killing a leader of Ionia... He wouldnt be mad at the elder, because the path of the "Wuju" allows him to have a calmed mind even in extreme situations... just hear his quotes in game:

"The focused mind can pierce through stone." "Anger gives motivation without purpose." "Do not let your pride blind you." "Doubt is the greatest enemy." "Shh - I'm meditating!"' "Mind and body." "Look inward."

He is not the kind of person that would kill someone because he is mad at that person.

Riven was a part of of the invasion, and in the end deserted because of the betrayal of her fellow Noxian soldiers.

There is a pretty fair amount of time between invasion start and her desertion, leaving plenty of time for her and her company to ransack a small village filled with clearly advanced swordsmen.

I mean, Yi's characterization points directly away from this kind of behavior, and pulling a switch-a-roo for no reason would be pretty ham-fisted of them.

Lets not forget that with the League not being canon anymore as well that the settlement of the Noxian/Ionian war wasn't really settled as we previously thought, so riven may have her lore changed to reflect this.

I think what you're trying to say is that Yi did it. However, I feel like the evidence that Riven is the killer is a lot more logical. I mean, she literally razed through Ionia for a long invade. Hell, Yasuo's lore even said that Yasuo's one rival is Riven, which is a clear and obvious connection. Yi literally would have no reason to kill the elder, as I can't see anything in your explanation that gives me any reason to believe that Yi has any sort of dislike for the elder, let alone the need to kill him.

Plot twist: The murderer is riven.

Its completely clear, if you look at the lore and yasuo taunt to riven. In tryndamere lore it doesn't say aatrox was the one who attacked the tribe, but because of the description in the lore and the in game quotes it's 100 % clear aatrox killed trynda tribe.

Yis alpha strike has nothing to do with wind and I doubt that Yi would have killed the elder just out of anger.

Also yasuo was assigned to guard the elder,so they were most likely not at yasuos home village, but at a place that the ionians thought would be safe for the elder(probably a remote hiding place). Rivens unit could have found the place by accident and simply murder everyone inside, with riven using her wind technique to kill the elder.

I'm not saying it was riven, but she is pretty much the only real candidate that we currently have.

I like the idea that Master Yi could have done it. But it's very obvious Riven is the one who did it.

Riven was apart of the Noxian army that invaded Ionian. The war between Noxian and Ionian wasn't just a war. Riven's lore clearly states "What began as a war quickly became an extermination" in favor of the Noxian army.

Aside the fact that she has a MASTERED wind technique with a BLADE, in Riven's lore it says "She was RUTHLESS and efficient as a warrior".

What really sells me that Riven is the one who murdered Yasuo's elder is that in her lore it also says "It wasn't the glorious combat for which Riven trained. She carried out the order of her superiors, terminating the remnants of a beaten and fractured enemy with EXTREME PREJUDICE."

So basically the Noxian army came into Ionian and completely decimated every person, town, village, thing in site with Riven who was seen as a "leader amongst her peers" driving this army forward.

I've already quoted that "She carried out the order of her superiors, terminating the remnants of a beaten and fractured enemy with EXTREME PREJUDICE." So who's not to say Riven came into this town or village or wherever in Ionian that Yasuo lived and executed his elder on orders from her superiors without thinking twice about it?

It also makes sense that the Noxian superiors would send Riven to kill this elder. He/She must have been very important if Yasuo was assigned to personally guard this person.

What also turns me off to the fact that Master Yi is responsible for the death of Yasuo's elder is that it talks about how Yi was fighting AGAINST the Noxian army. You can actually link Master Yi and Riven's lore to each other when they both talk about the Noxian army using chemical warfare.

In Master Yi's lore is says "Recognizing the threat the Wuju disciples posed to their invasion, the Noxians chose to unleash a nightmarish chemical attack on the home of the deadly art."

In Riven's lore it states "They called for support as the enemy closed in around them. What they received instead was a barrage of biochemical terror launched by Singed. Riven watched as around her Ionian and Noxian alike fell victim to an unspeakably gruesome fate. She managed to escape the bombardment, though she could not erase the memory.". "Counted dead by Noxus, she saw an opportunity to start anew. She shattered her sword, severing ties with the past, and wondered in self-imposed exile".

Long story short, by the time Master Yi had returned to his village to see it completely in ruin, Riven had already left this scene and was done with Noxian and the war. All while Master Yi's hate had just begun. Yi was "Driven only by his desire to punish those who'd destroyed his home, Yi spent years training in seclusion."

So I can't find any proof or reason that Master Yi would walk into a town or village in Ionian and murder an elder out of his frustration. Yi set out to "punish those who'd destroy his home" not punish other people who lived in Ionian.

Also: "Formerly a brilliant pupil at a renowned Ionian sword school" Where does it say the school is in a village? Cause the best schools are built in villages in the middle of nowhere, ofc.

@TurquoiseYoshi Yasuo is Rivern's rival because he is suspicious that Riven did it. He doesn't know that she did, he's just suspicious, also before Master Yi met Wukong he couldn't control his anger like he can now. I mean if my village got burned down and somebody told me that to calm down I would get pretty mad too. Sometimes you need to let your anger out and he did it on the elder,of course now he regrets it and fights for Ionia but back then he got mad.
