I find it incredibly odd of the nature of a game where people are getting hyped over a map reveal. This is so bizarre to me, but refreshing and new.

Noxians are a potluck of cultures, this is confirmed by Riot. This is mostly because of how they handle wars. As Noxians offer tribes and small nations a chance to join them or be crushed. Noxus values having people of all walks of life in its ranks as it gives them an air of unpredictability. Just take the names of the Noxian champions.
Cassiopia's name comes from a Greek Constellation and Myth, the name meaning "Cassia Juice". Swain's name is derived from the Old Norse name of Sven meaning "Young Warrior" or "Young Man". Darius is a Persian name meaning "Rich and Kingly". Draven is derived from an Olde English name of Drǽfend "Hunter". Katarina is a name derived from a Greek name of Κατερίνα "Pure". Sion can be traced to the Hebrew name Ṣiyyôn "Bastion". Leblanc is French and masculine version of "The White". Kled's name is derived from a Welsh noun for Sword. Talon can be derived from Latin Talus "Ankle" and French "Sharp, like sharp claw of a bird". Vladimir is from Old Slavonic either "World Owner" or "Peace Owner".
While not part of Noxus, Annie is of Noxian birth, her name is from English and means "Grace". Her family acts as a microcosm of Noxus naming. Her father, Gregori, his name comes from Latin meaning "Alert, Watchful". Her step mom, Leanne, her name comes from an English name that is a combination of "Wood" and "Grace". Her step-sister, Daisy, her name comes from the Olde English of Dægeseage which means "Day's Eye". Annie's mother Amoline is tricky, as its not a very used name in our world, but it shares eytomology with existing Latin name of (The Eagle Rules) and of the Danish/Norwegian/French word "Line" (From the Bank). While the Surname of Hastur is from Ambrose Bierc's short story called "Haïta the Shepherd" and is later mentioned in Lovecraft's works.
