So I'm writing a short story and I have some questions to ask...

So I have an assignment where I have to edit a story I have created and I decided to write the story based on league lore. I don't actually have to send the story to the teachers, I just have to answer some basic questions about the story's grammar, strengths, weaknesses etc. So basically I can lie... But. Being the perfectionist I am, I'm gonna write the story. With excessive attention to little details. :| So these are some of the questions I got.

  • Currently, within the modern time on the League of legends timeline, does the Freljord region still stand? As in has its name changed or have any of the tribes been wiped out.
  • What is the closest region to the Freljord and what is the basic wildlife found in both the Freljord and that region? (I have checked the official map and I'm not much of a map reader... Also, I do understand if most of the wildlife is unknown, in that case, I'll just make up some strange creature or just uncreatively pull out a basic animal like a bear or something xD)
  • What kind of clothing is worn within both the Freljord and the closest region?
  • Where is the volcano (Hearth-home) that Ornn works in located? Does it still exist?
  • In the Unknown region, what is the name of the people who live there?
  • Are there any fan made/official images and/or a description of Hearth-home? It could be from the past when the Hearthblood used to gather around the volcano or a description of the present Hearth-home.

So far this is all I got. But as I progress within the story I may need to ask more questions on this discussion if anyone is willing to help. Again, I will unnecessarily point out that I'm not planning to share the story around, but I do want it to be based on the league universe. Any help would be greatly appreciated, so if you want to add tips or something, I take in that info. If I posted this on the wrong board. Please. Forgive me. I'm partially brain-dead. (Let me know in comments if this has happened xD I'll remove it or send it to the right discussion page)

Wait. What? What "Unknown region" on the "official map"?

Is it possible that you've been looking at one of the (very excellent) player-made maps, because unless you're from the future (or we have a leak, oh crikey please don't let us have a leak) the new canon map hasn't been released yet.

  1. As far as I'm aware, the Freljord is just as expansive as it was before, and Ashe is currently one of the three leaders within it (So, yes it stands as is in the lore).

  2. The closest is Piltover, to the southeast, followed by Zaun just a little further southeast, and then Demacia is third closest to the southwest. For creatures, we know Poros are native to the Freljord mountains (hence the massive furry coat and goat-like horns, and their love for the Howling Abyss).

  3. The Freljord is a land of snow and war, so leather hide armor is extremely common, beyond that just dress for the cold. Piltover is far enough south to have extremely pleasant temperatures, and they're known for their wildly innovating and creative clothing (Just look at Jayce, he's got more belts than a Kingdom Hearts character [probably exaggerated tho])

  4. In Ornn's Color Story it describes the location as being "far to the north".

I would suggest scouring his color story for more information as to the Hearth Home, good luck o/
