Am I the only person who didnt think Neeko was gay?
Honestly, I just thought she was a fun quirky character that admired female champions. How did her sexuality get brought into this?

I was just like you, not because I think everyone should be straight, just because she was childish and had a behavior that in my sense doesn't know much about sexuality
then the writer said she's a lesbian
so I just moved on it doesn't matter anyway
Because people are dumbasses and get all worked up about it, then people get pissed about them whining about her being lesbian, and it just feeds into itself for like a week until either people get bored or mods take a fucking shotgun to the topic due to it just devolving into a shitfest.
Basically it's the same situation as the stupid PAX scandal except the people against what Riot did this time are objectively wrong.

No, I didn't initially think so either. Someone on twitter suspected it, asked, and a Rioter answered. That's literally the only reason I know, it was posted on Twitter and Boards.
I mean, I'm fine with it. I didn't think much about it, and knowing it doesn't change her character much. If they want to make a gay representative, I think this is a fine way to do it. It doesn't sacrifice her character over it, so it doesn't matter to me.
I finally watched the special interactions video, and honestly people are blowing it WAY out of proportion from the reality. She gets semi-flirty with a couple champions and pretty much directly hits on Shyvana and Nami, but that's it.
Makes sense for her character. To imitate & admire Beauty and thus the female form. Its well done for a new character. Better than butchering an existing family man and turning him into 2 homosexual men.
Now Im just waiting to see if the Vocal Minority of LGBTQ community members ( and some none community members) will be satisfied. My guess is they will pull the same Bullshit "sexual preference debate" with the next champion.
