Then, in more recent times we had Reksai, Illaoi, Taliah, Camille, Yummi.
Of course character design preference is subjective, but you can clearly see that the oldest one were more "attractive".
My question is: why? I am just curious.

Well we recently got and are about to get Senna who are extremely pretty/attractive champions

It's not that every girl has to have an hour glass figure and cherry shaped face. Which i do support. They seem to be making things more diverse. Although they can be a little less obnoxious about that.

You listed the only female champions who aren't waifus in the last 5 years. The rest are hot stuff.
Its not that Riot is making their champions ugly. It's just that Riot used to (and still largely does) by default design female characters with a much higher amount of sex appeal. Over time they have had more variation though and done it in more tasteful ways (Akali is smoking hot but in an effective and fitting way. Evelynn is supposed to be a sexy demon. Camille's ridiculous hourglass makes her feel artificial, imposing, and gives a unique silhouette, etc.)
