"Even if Galio's new voice had been given to a new champion"

"I still would have hated it." -some guy on another thread. This, Riot. That stereotypical voice is one of the reasons many of us can't stand superhero movies and American movies in general. It's the voice of a kind of person you wouldn't want to meet IRL. It's the voice of a douchebag who received social approval. And you gave it to one of the most noble, reflective, meditative characters you had.

You did Galio players violence, by taking a soothing voice and swapping it around with one that goes "HAHA I'M SO GOOD AT LIFE FUCK YOU FOR BEING SMALL".

Honestly, he sounds like the beefy lughead from 1800s England who walks around with his mate that is considerably smaller and skinnier than him. They're a couple of thugs who attempt to keep to themselves and do petty crimes to get by. Probably the ones that take on a job for a big score since they really don't enjoy doing what they do.

I imagine that same lug-head, if he somehow gets in a position when he stops someone worse than him and seen as a "good man" instead of some brute, would be bursting with glee.

Either way it goes, Galio is overly hyped because he's trying to make the most of his time. He only awakens when there is a magical threat. When he stops the threat, he goes back to sleep. Everyone he ever meets is gone. The only consistentency in his "waking" existence is battle and Poppy. And since he hates sleeping more than he hates being awake, he enjoys a good fight. Like, hell of a lot. It's a shame, though. If you don't know any of the tragedy behind why Galio is "happy", then he really does seem like a glorified douche (though, maybe more jovial than Jayce)
