I know these 2 skins got canceled (for good enough reasons) but is anyone a little upset?

Sewn Chaos Amumu & Blitz (could of been released 2 years ago, but sadly canceled). They got canceled for not meeting the quality skin standards (I think), but considering the different range of skin themes that we have today, I can still see a way to make this work. I mean we have Renektoy, Toy Soldier Gangplank and etc...

What I loved most about these two skins, was the amazing splashart design made by Jem Flores ( https://www.artstation.com/jemflores ).

You know I honestly didn't understand what the complaints with the skins were. They were 750 skins, they weren't supposed to have new particles or models, just new textures,

If the upcoming Kled skin meets quality standards i dont see how these two are worse quality wise than it.

No...I was relieved when they canceled them. If they wanted to release them again they would have to start from scratch.

I still think the idea of bringing them back as Honor level 5 skins isn't bad, would make it a bit more worthwhile for those already with the twitch and WW skins

Riot could've pulled them, did them up and rereleased them as 975s.

I'm completely fine with their cancellation because without it we might never have gotten Flaming Homumu

SC Blitz was so cute... [zombie-nunu-tears]

They were nice, but acting like they were high quality is a little bit shady. They were cancelled because they really weren't that good.

There were ways to make them work, but in the end it just proved too much effort for unpopular champions in such a short span of time.

I think they made the right choice. It was just better to scrap and remake them with new skins in the end.

This would be perfect for the toy line. We saw Nunu's toys now we need to see Annie's

I was disappointed because I actually really liked the Amumu skin

[cass-cry]

I feel like there was generally a lot more going on in the background, though. If I remember correctly, these were 750 skins, in a time when Riot was releasing 750 skins back to back to essentially give every champion a skin more often...you know, quantity over quality in a response to everyone complaining about X champion not getting a skin in Y years while Z champion got a skin annually.

Notably, after these skins were scrapped, the 750 skin parade died down.

And now, thanks to the community complaining about getting an influx of skins that were "low quality", Riot only seems to ever release 1350 skins now.

So, thanks complainy community. Not everything needs new sounds, animations, and fancy particle effects...I say as I also complain about the lack of particle effects on reworked skins

These would skins were set in stone & ready to roll. However, they decided on the night before the patch that despite being cheap 750 skins, they weren't good enough & had to be cancelled.

Sure they promised Blitzcrank & Amumu would get SOMETHING to replace those skins and they did deliver, I will give them that. However, Amumu had to wait nearly one whole year to get his replacement, infernal Amumu looks nice so it might have been worth the wait. Blitzcrank got 2 really good skins, but the walk animation they gave him for both skins is the only flaw in their design.

I'm at least 97% sure that if you have Lancer Paragon/Rouge Blitz his walk animation from Piltover customs, people would still recognize who grabbed them in lane since Blitzcrank's hook is his Signature move.

As someone who got to test them on PBE they really were kinda crap. Now I get the whole "They were just 750 skins, they aren't expected to be amazing", but I do agree with Riot's stance on 750 skins. They stopped putting them out because they lowered the average quality of skins.

The skin concepts weren't terrible, but putting them out as 750 skins just looks like low quality and shoddy work IMO. I was one of the people who spoke up against the skins being released and I stand by that, because no champion deserves a skin of that quality these days.

Anyways, the spash arts look awesome.

the more i look at them the more they dont seem that bad..maybe riot can revisit these skins one day

PapaGreg219/26/2018, 2:38:23 AM1 votes

I feel the same way about crappy skins that I do about emotes, icons and other junk that I personally don't like. It's better if they didn't exist so that when I get a chest, the good prizes aren't being watered down with all the garbage things out there.

Moons of Jupiter9/26/2018, 3:36:49 AM1 votes

Maybe for the poor artists that had to work on them

Sukishoo9/26/2018, 3:54:40 AM1 votes

I loved the splash, but I still honestly think Amumu looks like Teemo there.

These though just hold their quality a lot better, so I think having them instead was better in the end.
