Kayn and Rhaast should pull a We Are Venom

TL;DR: Kayn and Rhaast should team up because it's the best way to progress both their stories in a satisfying manner.

If the lore progresses and Kayn wins, that's going to end up understandably disappointing to Rhaast fans. The guy has barely any backstory beyond a handful of vague mentions and contradicting implications. Kayn "killing" him (even if he'd be back upon Kayn's death) takes him out of the lore with no answers or chance for his character to progress.

If the lore progresses and Rhaast wins, that's going to end up understandably disappointing to Kayn fans. Sasuke Uchiha jokes aside, Kayn was a child soldier who probably has very few friends by virtue of being Noxian and surpassing basically everyone in his Order. He undertakes the ultimate challenge, risking it all to prove himself worthy....and then his story just stops because Rhaast starts a murder party.

No matter which one wins, the other becomes a shaggy dog story. To me, both of those outcomes are disappointing.

The best outcome for everyone involved is for them to both win. They have a decent amount of stuff in common to bond over. They were both denied personhood by those who wanted to use them as weapons, they both see themselves as weapons as a result, they both are very good at killing, and so on.

They could switch off on who's using their now-shared body to preserve the in-game mechanic of going either Darkin or Shadow Assassin. Maybe it's not "realistic" or whatever to have a happy ending, but I can think of no better conclusion to a tale of two edgelords than the power of friendship.

Fun fact: in Hungary (my country) Rhaast and Venom share the voice actors.

B-but if they both win, how will the greatest line in league ever be spoken?? "IT'S ALL RHAAST NOW!!"

More seriously, given how unapologetically evil Rhaast is I'm not certain he is even capable of coexisting with Kayn. They have no need for symbiosis. I think the best possible outcome is Kayn manages to mostly overwhelm him but we get to keep Rhaast awake and talking. They get to keep their bond, Kayn gets to progress his story, and we don't have Rhaast riding off into the sunset intent on killing it.

I'd rather have Kayne win. then, after a battle that he won, but was left weakened, we hear

"Ahh, a risky gambit, but well worth the wait"

BLAM, Rhaast comes back with an even stronger host body.

in honesty though, Kayne and Rhaast dont have a symbiotic relationship and are both not ones that have a true fondness of each other. basically, they are parasites to each other.

I'm somewhat surprised no champions in LOL have a King Solomon reference as a taunt to them yet. "Gods you two are so whiny. How about I rip the body in half and give you both a piece?Does that sound fair?" Something like that.

I'd rather them not. Sure, it's nice, but it's not cathartic. It's going to be disappointing either way, but Kayn fans know there's going to be a choice. Either Rhaast wins, or Kayn wins, and personally, that's how it should be. I want the gut wrenching feeling of reading Kayn lose despite how hard he tried, or read the desperation in Rhaast's voice as he realizes he underestimated this kid.

Or like, just me and the Darkin bois plotting to end the world. You know.

I think it's likely gonna turn out in way, that either Kayn wins or Rhaast, but the other one isn't completely destroyed and eventually manages to come back and take the body for themselves.

To me, the Kayn and Rhaast story reads like a classic "Don't touch the corrupted weapon" story. The hero thinks they have control, but ultimately, his hubris leads to him failing because you don't mess with these things.

I honestly expect it to go something like Death Note, where Kayn thinks he's winning, until Rhaast just takes over when he's tired of it all.

Tbh even if Kayn is exceptional and mentally strong i don't think he should be able to defeat Rhast. Rhast is an ascended he should be above any human by default.

In a perfect world, symbiosis would be the third choice, giving birth to a violet Shadow Assassin with armor and horns, fusing both Shadow Arts and Blood Magic to a degree never witnessed before... but that won't happen, as both are too egoistical and hard headed to even think about cooperating, as that would mean leaving behind their former goals, or at least altering them. Rhaast wants mass murder and chaos, while Kayn wants to rule the Order of the Shadows, make Zed proud and kill only what's necessary, and neither wants to give up any of their goals

If Kayn or Rhaast wins RIGHT NOW, sure.

But their stories have only just started. Rhaast can get more backstory and fleshed out before Kayn ultimately overpowers him. Or Kayn could be overpowered by the sheer hatred and will that is Rhaast, the arrogance of the prodigy ultimately proving his downfall.

It's perfectly plausible that Rhaast could survive (albeit weakened) and come back when Kayn lets his guard down, as well. Or when Rhaast takes over and goes to kill Zed, Kayn fights back and overpowers him.

But having both of them "win" feels like a really poor middle-of-the-road option given that their entire characters are built on being to opposed to each other.

Or perhaps not. "There are only two possible outcomes" is pretty unambiguous.
