League Theory: Shadows vs The Void

So with the recent allusion that the real big bads of LoL are the Watchers, I started to look at how they and their creation (the voidborne) have affected many parts of the league universe. I started to see how all the different nations (ignoring bilgewater for now) have been touched of affected by the void and realize one particular place was void of such interactions, the Shadow Ilse. With how riot had been doing stories recently and how the world is feeling connected, I think that riot has more plans for the shadow ilse than being spooky ghost island. So this leads me to my theory of what if the shadow isle and it's denizens are some sort of army/ weapon to be used against the void? What if they are protected somehow by the infection of the void and the harrowing is the involuntary recruitment of an endless army against the ultimate enemies, whose reappearance seems imminent (the watchers)? But that's just my theory.

I hope this isn’t the case. I want it to remain an “accident” caused by a man’s love and desperation unleashing calamity, getting something good and trying to get more/usurp it resulting in an unleashing if a great and terrible curse. There can be aspects of the blessed isles that knew about the Watchers but the curse being tied just feels like they’re trying to make everything void related, when in reality disasters do happen without being connections. Why I like that it’s not just the Watchers coming, but also a Rune War, The shuriman rising complications, the rivalry between Noxus and Demacia and Noxus invading Ionia etc.

I think it was confirmed that Shadow Isles residents and magic interact weirdly with void corruption which makes sense as most of it's residents are spirits and the void has only been seen to corrupt organic life although it can still destroy other non living things - but the undead may be an exception to that.

Their history and lore could remain the same - a tragic ruination caused by the Ruined King's mad desires and that would be terribly ironic... if the fate of Runeterra was held in the hands of the Black Mist

Enough places are related to the Void, don’t you think? Not everything happens for a reason. Accidents should be allowed to happen and have their own unique, interesting, non-Void related consequences.
