##TL;DR Share what about the lore do you just love and what do you think of the lore in whole? It can be anything. Champions, regions, catalysts, skins, history, maybe even the jist of a theory you have, anything!

The lore released for the League universe consistently impresses the community. The lore is on its way to becoming a fully fleshed out universe where everything is finally weaving itself together and you can tell the lore team is ~~IN MAXIMUM OVERDRIVE~~ actively working on bringing the lore into a new phase.

Let's discuss what parts of the lore really just bring you in and get you interested in its ever-expanding universe. You can even discuss what parts of the lore haven't been fully expanded upon yet that you just can't wait for.

First The Darkin. I don't like them because like "oh my god super edgy dark fallen angels", honestly that idea is just kind ew and bland; I often opt for the good side anyway. It's just when I look at the Aatrox and Rhaast splasharts and then I read the darkin lore it just oozes this feeling of ancient, unimaginable power with vengeance from an ancient society being released upon the world prepared to just start an apocalypse. I especially love Rhaast's character_( sucks)_.

##Camille If you gone through all of 's lore you can sum her up character in 2 words:

Piltover
Batman

Not to mention she's a hextech Lin Beifong, drama she has with Hakim and her brother and he granddaughter_(Swain Voiceline)_?! There's just so much going on with her character, I enjoy it so much it's hard to put into words.

I guess my choices show I'm a sucker for neutral characters with tragic backstories that they come back from

hoo boy i could make posts asking about it on boards all day, me, a normal player who does not work here

i bet the one guy who writes for skins would love to talk about it more on boards, where i, a player who is not the skins writer, eagerly anticipate the next big skOH GOD PLEASE SOMEBODY ASK ABOUT THE SKIN LORE

I like most of the lore, I just wish the changes were less jarring sometimes (The Darkin is a big example of a complete change of direction in less than a year's time), and I'm also a little concerned with how perfectly tied together a lot of it's becoming. Don't get me wrong, good stories need to have ties and connections when you're talking about scopes this large. But if you tie too many ends together, the world gets a little too perfectly explained, and for a fantasy setting, if you have perfect explanations for everything, you lose a good chunk of the unknown and mythical nature of storytelling that keeps it compelling. Mystery and the unknown keep stories going, because it always leaves room for a what if. My other concern with the storytelling is that it's gravitating towards the dark side quite a bit too much. Darkness is good, it's a good element to any story, to make the good seem better and the grays more neutral. However, when almost all of the characters have grim-dark pasts or particularly violent or homicidal tendencies, even if they're supposed to be lighter, do-gooder characters, that starts to erode away at the overall diversity of the story telling, and it makes the world start to feel a little monotonous. They've done well trying to paint gray everywhere in the story, and there are plenty of villains and dark elements - but the opposite side, the good, is rather scarce, and without the good to contrast the bad, you kind of lose a bit of focus. I'd like to see more light and good side things happen, and more stories be told in that vein. I think Ornn's fairy tales were a prime example of what the lore needs more of, just pure light hearted stories - but I feel like his lore, where Volibear's people just kind of senselessly murder his followers, felt a bit forced and unnecessary, and just blotted Ornn with a really ugly dark spot to what should have been someone who's overall jolly. This kind of trend is a bit worrisome, as it happened with Ivern too, and I'd like to see them gear away from that kind of "NEEDS MORE HORRIBLENESS" to characters who are on a more mythic, jollier level than most of the champions in the game.

I love Kayn's, yeah yeah I know he's straight edge. But it's a super compelling story to me at a high level with two opposing forces forced together in a race against time, like 2 enemies on a road trip with only one person who knows how to drive and the other with the map in his head, with everything on the line yet the payoff is oh so glorious

It's honestly inspiring to see what Runeterra has become from such scattered beginnings. My "favorite" part of League lore is seeing how they take things like random blue mage, crying mummy child, ice bird, wuju goggles, sexy pirate, and giant armadillo, all characters that were not created with a huge concern for how they would fit together, and gather them all up and interweave them in a massive world with rules in a way that makes sense.

Some old characters are still waiting for their turn to fit in, but what really amazes me is how cohesive everything is shaping up to be, and how the cast of Runeterra has turned from a loose assembly of stereotypes and inconsistencies to the co-inhabitants of a single, unified, real world. Big props to the world building team and narrative for showing me that with good writing and world building, you can make an awesome world out of anything and anyone.

The likable villains, Lissandra and Jhin 's lores alone are what me made start playing them. Syndra 's leaked story is also tempting me.

Skarner 's lore is probably my favourite lore in the entire game.

Other than that, I really like Targon's lore.

OMG. I too adore Camille lore because 8t makes me drop tears and feel so many emotions at the same time when I read her lore/stories. As for the Darkins, I like their lore, especially Ta'anari and Aatrox . Ironically, both Camille Aatrox and respect both of their in-game gameplay and their well done and tiuching lores. Cheers!
