How much would Boneshiver (Trundle's True Ice club) help in a zombie apocalypse?

I just saw one of those posts asking "The last weapon you used in a video game is now your weapon for the zombie apocalypse. How screwed are you?" and since I last played Trundle I was wondering how well I'd fare with Boneshiver. Could I even lift it? How heavy is it? Would I get frostbite from holding it? Is it just for whacking heads in or could I summon ice pillars with it, too?

If all I can do with it is summon ice with it I imagine I could wrap it up in some cloth and use it to barricade doors and stuff. Maybe I could even melt the summoned ice for water supplies? That seems pretty neat.

Bonus question: How well would you fare with the weapon of the last champion you played?

True Ice is super effective against the undead. I'm pretty sure you would do well.

But problem is, without Iceborn ancestry you can't use True Ice.

The last weapon I used in-game was Sejuani's flail with an Iceborn gauntlet, so I'm in the same boat as you are.

It is a fact that True Ice never melts, so (assuming it is actually ice with magical properties and not something else entirely) True Ice must be able to absorb an infinite amount of energy without losing its molecular integrity. So you would indeed get frostbite if you stay too close to it, but you should be able to hold it by the handle for short windows. That being said, an infinite sub-zero heat sink would slowly drain energy from whatever environment it's in, and very gradually plunge the whole planet into an ice-age. I'm sure Riot writers can hand-wave a solution for this. if you point it out.

According to one of the loading screen tips, only humans descended from the Iceborn can wield a True Ice weapon. Possibly this only refers to the ice-bending properties of the weapons, or maybe it means that you and I would become instant popsicles just by touching them. There's no way to be sure.

Assuming you could wield Boneshiver without freezing yourself, I'm sure it's far too heavy to swing around.

There are many league weapon more practical for use in a zombie apocalypse than Boneshiver. Lucian's pistols for starters.

You shouldn't be able to use the ice you summon to get water supplies, because the most iconic trait of true ice is that it can not melt. ^^
