@Riot, It really feels like you don't take your lore creation seriously anymore.

Based on the little information Riot gives us about that stuff these days, I'm getting the impression that whenever a champion is being produced, a Rioter is assigned to make sure that champion's lore fits into the current narrative. Lorewise, that's kinda backwards thinking. The lore should be developed in such a way that it includes new champions, rather than grandfathering them in.

New champions don't start from solid lore inspirations anymore, new champion feel like they're just shoo-horned into LoL's lore.

I'm not just trying to be a pain in the ass here, it's just that Riot has shown us that it can develop it's lore based on it's existing lore (the Kalamanda event) without retconning it's lore at all.

Let's be real here. - Retcons are usually bad. Retcons for LoL mean Riot** eliminating **established lore out of this game.

It's pretty serious business.

Personally, I'd love to see Riot stop retconning it's lore, and start developing it again.

I honestly disagree. Theyve done some good quality lore lately (aside from jhin, I dont care much for his) burning tides, shadow and fortune, and a good death have been fantastic reads. I can be biased, I was not around pre retcon, but from what I gather what they could do with the lore before was limited to the Institute of War mainly. Thing is, without it, lore events like burning tides wouldn't have happened. I think it opened new possibilities.

Also, with the IoW, they have to have a reason to be in it. Now that doesnt need to be the case.

(Id like to repeat, might be biased)
