@Narrative Team, a question about Shyvana and Dragons

Recently I've been watching a lot of MrRhexx's D&D videos (mostly on dragons hence the upcoming question(s))

Firstly I was wondering if there was something specific that inspired Shyvana originally, mainly because (in D&D dragon mythos) some Dragons can take the form of Humans, which in my twisted mind explains how Shyv is a 'Half-Dragon'.

Second I was curious if (with the possibility of a vgu someday if the recent poll means that shes joined the long list) if her lore would be maybe more like "A dragon that took on Human form saved the Crown Prince of Demacia revealed her true nature, fought with JarvanIV to defeat her dragon mom (right?), and then assumed the form of a human and only JarvanIV and (If Garen telling Jarvan to stop thinking about 'her' in the lux comic means Shyvana then Garen as well know her secret as she tries to blend in to human society."

Finally how smart are the Dragons on runeterra, i mean AurelionSol seems pretty smart but then you have the dragons on summoners rift that are basically (seemingly) oafs?

Thank you in advance

AurelionSol is just a celestial who often happens to look like a dragon, not a real dragon. He even says "they have no words for my true form", implying that how he really appears is something incomprehensible to the eye. In fact, it's possible that, it's not that he looks like a dragon, it's that Runeterran dragons look like him.

The dragons of Runeterra differ greatly depending on where they are from. For example, according to Irelia, there are over 200 species of talking dragons in Ionia alone.

The elemental drakes are, thanks to Qiyana, revealed to be from the Ixtal region. They inhabit the abandoned ruins of the area, and they haven't been allies to mortals since the Void War. Thus, they tend to be hostile. Whether or not they can talk or possess any intelligence at all is up to debate, since the only real representation we have of them(to my knowledge) is them in-game.

It feels that there should be more Dragon-related lore, not only because Dragons are usually beloved by people, but because with as little as we know about them, there seems that they are are developed species.

  • They are able to speak, so at least some are highly inteligent
  • There are some able to handle any of the different magic types: Cosmic AurelionSol Spiritual LeeSin Elemental dragons of the Rift
  • They are powerfull enough to be a particularly strong enemy, weird that we haven't seen a Void infused or Dracolich from the Shadow Isles

Wouldn't be surprised if there was a Dragon society somewhere in Runeterra
