What would happen if one of the spirits that turn into demons fed off of positive emotions?
I wonder what would happen if Evelyyn or tahm fed on happiness instead of greed and pain?

We already have an example of this! Janna’s a benevolent wind spirit who came to be from the hopes of sailors who prayed for fair winds, and without their collective faith she pretty much loses all her power—much like how Evelynn needs to inflict pain in order to stay alive.
Spirits in the League universe seem to be born from a predominant, ambient feeling they feed off of when they’re dormant (and later become dependent upon), which ultimately shapes them into either a demon or good spirit. Janna’s the latter.
"Demons" is a pretty loose classification in the League universe. It roughly translates to "evil spirit". So, I would assume a demon would just be an ordinary spirit if it fed off of positive emotions.
I think said spirit simply wouldn't be called a demon...
From what I understand the word "demon" is simply used to describe evil spirits,they aren't necessarily a clearly defined species themselves.

If we are going off dragon age logic, they become benevolent.
if we are talking about a demon that is still evil but feeds off positive emotions then i guess to stop feeding the demon positive emotions the people will have to force themselves into pain and depression and all the bad stuff... but im sure that wont last long and soon people will want to experience joy, pleasure, all the good stuff again... restarting this cycle of "feed the demon who is indirectly causing you to suffer or suffer for a short period to deny it food but soon cave in and feed it again"
