If Aspect of Twilight can kill the Ascended...
Why did he choose the way to trap them? What is the reason?
He killed them in seconds, yet he chooses the trap them.

"Seconds"- Yeah, after plotting to depower them for some seriously long time. And the few Darkin that were captured were the strongest, therefore they couldn't be killed by a mortal or even an aspect. Moreover, if a Void breach happend again, they could always let them loose for a bit, let them do their thing then just re-trap them again.
This is the same Aspect who destroyed a whole town out of whimsy in Zoe's flavor story.
Maybe common sense and power have an inversely proportional relationship in the League universe.
The Aspect of Twilight (Myisha) is a woman, most likely Zoe in some way. And she didn't kill them technically, she manipulated Ta'anaka into doing so. She also likes to play games/tricks, so that might be the case? Or maybe not.. since Myisha seemingly wanted to erase the Darkin from the world entirely at the amphitheater.
Edit: I just realized Zoe and Myisha are the opposites of the same identity. Zoe = dawn, Myisha = dusk.

The purpose of the Ascended from the view point of the Targonians could be: god warriors that would fight back the Void. Their power is useful and when the Void attacks again, they could use them to fight the Void again, since they cannot die, perhaps forever.
Also the Darkin were trapped to grant a power to the mortals to allow them to kill other Darkins. They came to put and end to their war, and decided instead of totally cleaning up for them, they gave the mortals power to clean up after themselves.
Sounded to me like it actually required borrowing the magic of all the present Ascended to perform the spell needed to kill them. So without enough left to do that again, trapping them was the only remaining option.
Because the Aspect of Twilight isn't the watchdog of Runeterra.
The Aspect decided that it would have been more fun to give mortals the Prometheus Fire needed to harm their gods and see if they would be strong enough to face the Void.
To everyone discussing If Zoe and Myisha are the same body/Aspect, NO they aren't Myisha isn't even the previous one. How do we know that? Aatrox says it in a quote where he says that killing the Aspect of Twilight a thousand times isn't enough and that means that he killed the Aspect of Twilight multiple times. Maybe he killed Myisha .
Just a reminder... Ascendeds are not unkilleable, you dont need a magical alien thing in order to kill them.
