Reading Nidalee’s colour story to make sure it was her, and it turns out it is and I love it! It’s very Druid yet huntress vibes to it. Will she get updated like this very soon?! This is a way better than the loincloth stripper version.
It's kinda like Ashe and Caitlyn. Riot will redesign them for stories like this but their iconic look will stay pretty much the same. Well maybe just for Ashe, Caitlyn may get an actual VU soon TM.

This would still need work if it were to end up in the game as it's a bit generic. Because they have to stay true to Nidalees' in game design which is somewhat generic (female tarzan) but at least in game she still stands out as a unique champion because the trope is being embraced wholeheartedly. This Nid kinda looks like an NPC in a Bethesda game that gives a fairly important quest, not a character you play as. It's too "in the middle" of both camps.
When Nid gets a real VGU they will have to find a new aesthetic for her to free her from Tarzan woman trope. If they want to. Nidalee is actually fine in my mind among plenty of awful designs we have now that are on the high priority VGU list 
I personally like hunter druid mother figure nidalee a lot more than stripper nidalee.
There's been a lot of talk on the boards lately about the way women are portrayed in the game and Nid is a big talking point on that. I think this new design solves all the gripes people tend to have with designs like her current one. I for one love the new design. It's a lot more practical and grounded, while still being a bit sexy, including a v-line that actually works... unlike some void ladies we know... I saw someone mention that it helps a lot with the 'same face' problem that a lot of the League characters have and I could definitely agree there. She's got a pretty unique look. I'd love to see this translated in-game, even if it's only a base splash-art update.

Im surpised Nidalee figured out how to make leather armor when she's lived in the jungle all of her life.
Hmm. I'm split on this one. Ashe lives in the far north and very clearly needs to be wearing more clothes, Caitlin is a police officer and needs to look a little less like a cosplayer, but this? Hmm. She was raised by animals, continues to live with animals, and only really has interactions with humans when they are negatively impacting the lives of those in the forest, it doesn't make sense for her to be wearing such modest clothes (and stylish ones at that). If she is cold, which it sounds like may be near impossible in the heart of the jungle, she can shapeshift into a creature with fur. The only other thing I can think of is she stole it from humans she killed or, like this vastaya we see here, lots of jungle dwelling sentient beings are just impeccably dressed.
I already posted this in the lore update discussion but my feelings are I feel both design's are great and feel sadden by RIOT needing to update her just for people to take her seriously.

I honestly dont like it. There are plenty of female characters that need more reasonable clothing. But Nidalee is the one character that it makes sense to have nearly naked. This art has her clothed significantly more then what I see among traditional African/Latin American indigenous peoples.
Well....I like how her hair and face are and the color pallet for her clothing but I wanna see a mix of both clothes...cause she looks more like a military sniper here or a mercenary. Not some feral jungle woman who happens to turn into a cougar.

Bonus: she looks how an actual woman in her thirties or forties would. Sensible, elegant attire with a touch of flair.

Forgive me the slight exaggeration.
Shouldn't Nidalee technically be naked all the time? if she shapeshifts what happens to her clothes? It makes alot more sense for her to wear light furs that dont cover up much to allow mobility in the jungle than what she's wearing in that picture. Either that or give the cougar form clothes for consistancy
