Two theories regarding the new Battle Boss skins
So, we all know a lot of people hate the new skins because they look too "human" for what Battle Boss actually look like, but what if there's a reason for that?
Here's my two theories
#1. Battle Boss characters are created by Veigar to be his minions.
Maybe not all are created from scratch, but actually, some are Arcade Heroes taken over by Veigar's power (we don't know his in-lore power level, just that he's the strongest as he's the Final Boss) and then converted, apparently over time into being non human. In Yasuo's splash art we can see that the only thing actually showing him as human is his head, the rest of the body with a different head can look humanoid, but not human, similar to Malzahar.
#2. Arcade Heroes changed sides
You know how in games and other media we have the good guy turned bad because of different reasons? Vergil in DMC 1, Credo in DMC 4, Griffin, Shadow and Nightmare in DMC 5 just to name a few that many probably know, and the reason why I picked these 3 (well, 5, ok? Griffin, Shadow and Nightmare will be considered as part of the same) is that they each show a different reason why a good person turned rogue. (minor spoilers for those who don't know DMC lore, skip ahead if you don't want to be spoiled)
- Vergil wanted power because he didn't had the power to protect his mother, and in the end, he gets brainwashed by Mundus and becomes Nelo Angelo, serving him as a slave.
- Credo ends up a villain because he was lied to by Sanctus on why they truly get the power of Sparda, but non the less, until he died trying to redeem himself, he was a villain in disguise, as neither Nero or Kyrie knew what's going on. Him trying to make a better world and protect his family actually gave Sanctus what he needed to destroy the world.
- Griffin, Shadow and Nightmare became "villains" trying to kill Dante, but their reason was specified by Griffin after the fight, "if you would've had trouble defeating us, you would've stood no chance against Vergil, and we wanted to make sure you're ready for the fight to come". They chose the path of "evil" to make sure the hero is strong enough to defeat the final boss.
How does this tie up in the skin line? Well, similar may be with Yasuo and Qiyana, they were originally Arcade Heroes in that universe, but, for one reason or another, they got to change sides, be it corrupted, bought, lied to or to make sure the other Arcade Heroes are strong enough to defeat Veigar and his minions, hence why these two look so different from other Battle Bosses and so similar to the Arcade Heroes. Maybe that's how new Battle Bosses come to be, they are turned into a monstrous Battle Boss by Veigar when they originally were Arcade Heroes.
What would this imply? If these theories are true (either one, or both), we could get an Arcade Hero skin for each of the Battle Bosses, which would be them pre conversion or after being purified, but could also mean that some of the Arcade Heroes may end up also having Battle Boss skins because they ended up in Veigar's tiny iron grip.
