So we already kinda know that Sol is kinda, interested in making, and un-making stars, kinda his whole point in the universe. And he was supposedly sealed and contained in mount Targon (or under malphite ha ha ha).

But when we really think about it, no one really knows where jinx came from, most assume she's Zaun, some assume she's some wild party girl from Piltover releated in some measure to Vi. What if... Jinx was set out to cause enough chaos that'd pull the attention of the guardians of Targon, or was eventually directed to Targon to free him.

Now, this has you thinking, who'd be interested in that? who'd direct a crazy psychopath to blow up a mountain containing an ancient being who can blow up the sun? well, that's pretty simple. Malzahar, malzahar would be interested in aiding the voidlings by destroying the sun, and setting it adrift in the void. As the other void lings, specifically, Velkoz would likely be able to come up with such a good plan, but not necessarily convince jinx to go with it... due to his desire for knowledge, which means in all likely hood using rune terra as his personal research lab.
