Sona Timeline Questions

Hey all,

With what we learned with the Irelia lore updates and giving us a timeline as to when the Ionia-Noxus conflict primarily existed (mainly in that we have a distinguishing 'decade' between Irelia acting the spark and current day), I find myself wondering where Sona fits in in that timeline. You may immediately ask why that's important, isn't that a question you can ask about every Ionian? And I have to say no, because timing has less impact on most Ionians than you'd expect. Whether Akali defected six months ago or two years ago isn't extremely impactful to her overall arc (from my perspective!)

So why is Sona important? It's because she left Ionia. And now that we know that the Noxus-Ionia conflict was not extremely recent, but in the time frame of a decade ago, when Sona leaves would have an impact not only on the kind of perspective that she has, but also that of Lestara, among other concerns.

We know that "Sona remained at the adoption house until her teens", straight from her background. However, we don't know how old she is now, which means we also have a very hard time figuring out whether she personally felt the effects of the war. Did Lestara adopt Sona during the conflict itself? Was Sona and her orphanage located in a tucked away place and avoided most of the Noxian warbands (where was her orphanage located anyway?). A Sona Buvelle who has survived the Ionia-Noxus conflict and is then adopted would (in my opinon) have a different perspective and story arc than one who leaves before the conflict arises at all. Is Sona in the position of being a refugee? How old is she, how old was she when she was adopted (late teens is a pretty big range), and was she adopted before, during, or after the big Noxus-Ionia conflict?

I'm hoping that perhaps I've explained why it matters and I'd love to hear what everyone thinks, or if we have any confirmation one way or another. I'm eager to know more about Sona's background and lore and what builds up her experiences as a person and not just a musician. Thanks! Have a great day!

TL;DR: I love Sona and I want to know when she was adopted with respect to the Noxus-Ionia war (or the battle at the placidium), her age at adoption or currently (ballparks are great!), and where her orphanage was. It changes how much time she's spent in Demacia, her relationships with other champions (how much would a Demacian trust her if she was a far more recent entry to the city?), and her character profile.
