What if GangPlank in the BW 1-3 stories wasn't a real GP?

There are some sort of options how the game will go on since the point of the GP's death.

1. We won't see in the game anymore and his visual rework was a part of the cake.
2. Spooky is a new default skin being swaped with a new one.
3. Somehow survived (more probably Riot will choose this option but who knows).
4. ?
5. What if in the BW story isn't a real ? What if real is a "grey cardinal" that managed in the story and nobody knows his real face? (Well we know his face IN the game but in Runeterra nobody might knows his real face except dead "GP"). That would be an interesting outcome when sees "GP"'s corpse and finds out that it's NOT , because she has been remember his face since the fatal day?
