Both are really short, and don't showcase nearly as much of the character as I think they should beyond a brief skimming summary. This is especially true for Gangplank, who had a whole summer lore event revolving around him a few years back.
Some interesting characters are more interesting for having limited bios.
Take Darth Vader for instance. He was a much more interesting character before they elaborated on his back story and made him an idiot.
Or on a more related subject, Jack Sparrow. He was a much more interesting character as a supporting member to someone else's story, as oppose to his own.
Plus Kindred is suppose to be this unknowable force, not some character in a story.
