The Fifth Horseman of the Apocalypse: Providence

Well, i just came across this website with the 5 horsemen of the apocalypse. Normally you would hear about them as the 4 horsemen, but there where 5 here. I just got a little theory that the 5 remaining darkin are shaped after the 5 horsemen. Just check out the link and look at the similarities of the first horsman of conquest with varusVarus , the second horseman of war with aatroxAatrox and the fourth horseman with rhaastKayn . All those horsemen weild the same weapons as the darkin and share the most of their atributes in the lore, just like aatrox is a madman that will kill you as soon as he sees you and that he creates lots of war etc. Also in the lore varus mentions that he has a sister, well the fifth horseman or horsewoman XD is a female. The thing is thats she isnt eveil in the sort of way all the other horsemen are. This could be a sort of problem when whe try to connect this up with the darkin, cause the obviously are evil, but we don't really know if they are all bad... So now we could actually speculate to see a item 3089 mage darkin and an item 3071 axe darkin from RITO wich could be pretty nice.

Ah well just sit and think about what you guys think about my theory, like boi does it even stick together LMAO

Blugh, no... I'm pretty sure that with both this and the demons being sins, Rioters have specifically said that there's no connection.

There was already someone who posted the exact same theory(dunno if you are the same person). And I have to tell you, that the story of the 5th horsewoman is completely made up by the person who wrote the blog, it's not based on actual myths.

There are however 2 interpretations of the first horseman, one being conquest, the other being pestilence and said horseman is also associated with 2 items, the bow and the crown, so it'd be easy to split this horseman into 2 champs.

Y'know when I first looked at this I thought, 'hey, finally someone is going to mention Hades'.

But they didn't. It was some made up nothing to do with the base mythology at all thing.

There are already five horsemen.

Five horsemen and four seals.

Seal one is the rider on the white horse who goes out conquering and to conqueror. Usually called Conquest or Pestilence.

Seal two is the rider on the red horse. War.

Seal three is the rider on the black horse. Famine.

Seal four is the rider on the pale horse. Death. And riding along with Death is his good pal Hades. But no one ever mentions poor Hades.

Technically there are three other seals but they don't have any associated horsemen so they tend to get ignored.

This has been theorized more or less since Aatrox came out. I'm not exactly sure if it has been ever confirmed or denied, but doubt it is the case, would be cool though

If they are indeed doing the four horsemen which is neither confirmed or denied, the 5th Darkin would more likely be based off the Lamb of God who heralds the Horsemen.

And as for connections

Rhaast has a skeletal face and wields a scythe. Death is often depicted as a skeletal being with a scythe.

Aatrox is red faced and wields a sword, he seems to cause eternal war to bring about an Apocalypse. War is often depicted as red, wielding a sword and causing wars.

Varus is described as inhumanly beautiful, wielding a bow and wearing a crown. Pestilence is often depicted as beautiful, wearing a crown and wielding a bow.

It's still possible this is coincidence, correlation is not causation and the human mind looks for correlation while also being victim to confirmation bias.

Well know with the eventual next Darkin release.

But the lore mentions more than 5 Darkins:

Ta’anari (Panther), Enakai (Tiger), Syphax (Chameleon), Zigantus (Bull), Xuuyan (Turtle), Shabaka and Shabake (Raven twins), Moneerah (Unknown), Cebotaru (Wolf), and Naganeka (Snake).

Theory debunked.

(sure, they are dead, but still)
