Riot - I'm curious, was Kayn a result of a scrapped Evelynn concept?

I feel like Kayn's Shadow Step seems like it was perhaps a concept of something to replace Evelynn's permanent stealth, if that was a potential direction for her at one point. That, coupled with the fact that he was a jungler, came out shortly before her VGU, and also has strong design similarities between his Shadow Form and her Shadow Evelynn skin, and it just falls into place for me like they were children of the same brainstorming session, similar to how scrapped designs for Gnar resulted in the creation of Tahm Kench. Is there any validity to this?

Back when they were originally reworking evelynn they said that a part of her kit was going to be invisibility but only near wall and also am ability to shift through them. but this ability did get reworked into kayn

I don't know about Kayn, but on Eve's AMA, Evelynn was the original owner of now Zoe's sleep mechanic. But it was too OP so they scratched it.
