Riot already confirmed they aren't Shuriman Ascendants nor Darkin related. So that one, no.
Aspects is still a possibility though, since they hinted at the teaser being very Targonian.
Angels, as space as Angels can get. No Aspects or Targon stuff other than they could have landed on Runeterra there as it's peak is so high. I think they should be older than most civilisations on Runeterra and one of the first set of inhabitants of the 1/6th we know of, like subtle influencers of how Runeterra has progressed. Landed as refugees from a war on their world, Morgana bound herself to Runeterra to keep Kayle and herself safe which Kayle didn't want, as per the bad thing between them.
Powers wise, I have no idea what they'll change on Kayle, her identify is a hyper carry mixed damage attack speed thing and Riot don't like that apparently (see Aatrox :P).
IF Riot do go down the route of related to the Aspects (I hope not, there are enough), make them the original forms of Aspects, make them Angels. They were refugees that left the original homeworld of the Aspects long ago before civilisation even properly existed on Runeterra and while others of their races 'Ascended' to be what they are now, Kayle and Morgana remained Angels. Morgana maybe binding herself and Kayle to Runeterra to keep them safe, removing her 'deviness' in the process, meaning Kayle cannot Ascend to be an Aspect.

I want something new, and not related to Targon this time, so much champions are now Targonian, it goes seriously on the boring side.
I really wanted Morgana and Kayle to have ties to Noxus and Demacia respectively, and the fact that they are celestial beings makes me want to have something unique for them.
Just a wild guess: I think she is a normal Demacian soldier who questions the execution of the law in Demacia. [...] . She climbs up mount targon. Becomes the aspect of Justice and impacts the law in Demacia significantly. We probably also recive an update to magic. Demacia maybe will have an acceptable form of 'magic' which isnt really considered magic. This could explain Garens ult and Kayles ranged AA.
I feel it's nigh on certain that they will be aspects, the only question is... aspects of what?
Morgana is the one who has the most clues right now. We know that she is "bound" in some way, from Aatrox and Sylas's interactions. So what does that mean?
The two most likely things I can think of would be the Aspect of Mortality, or the Aspect of Runeterra. I'm sure there's more possibilities, however.
Now, if Kayle is meant to be a foil to Morgana, what would she be? The only thing that comes to mind would be something like Aspect of Transcendence. This title would certainly fit with the info we're given that her R would change her appearance as it's leveled up.
I think they will definitely have ties to Shurima, and possibly also to Targon. I think it would be really cool to see an Ascended who also managed to become an Aspect. Perhaps we'll see that with Kayle, while Morgana became a Darkin instead?
Pure speculation, but would be a cool way to cross some storylines in the new lore.
I hope morg is on the level of swain. And kayle should keep similar aspects, but lose a lot of point and clicks. Maybe like cass playstyle? Km excited though, the angels should feel super strong and impactful. Rn they are just sups that do damage
Well seeing as kayle is more of a kit rework with some visual and morgana is gonna be mostly visual and minor kit changes and ult change. I feel like they're going to be ascended or failed ascended. Aatrox' voice lines already confirm this. Kayle will probably be justice and morg will probably be some sort of "free will trope". Go to youtube and look up Aatrox interactions. I believe Swain also has voice lines for both. They will probably reinforce the fact that Morg bound herself as a mortal in order to hide from Kayle while she recovers her strength in order to defeat her. Remember at present Morg feels Kayle is too rigid and unwavering. Everything is either right or wrong there is no grey with Kayle and she deals judgement regardless of reason or circumstance. She doesn't like that and feels that there are other ways to go about (insert common struggle plot point here) to a beneficial resolution. I don't think they'll have a vs event when it comes down to it. Just because they might want them to somewhat get along.......like they did to Leona and Diana......(cries). BUtTTTtttttt ya....
They might end up like Soraka, Celestials that decided to come to the world physically. That way they could maintain the angel aspect of their characters without having to retcon anything, as the current celestials are all pretty different in appearance.
I hope they do a good job on kayle's wings. They were always a stand out part of her visually imo.
I'm looking forward to hearing their interactions for each other, hopefully when they're both allied or against one another.
Well considering Kayle is swinging around the sword of Demacia, and that her armor is carved into the largest religious temple in all of Demacia, I think Kayle is a little more than just a secret.
My guess is that, through light magic, the Lightbringers have finally purged a Darkin from it's weapon, giving Kayle the full power of an Ascended god warrior, meanwhile Morgana volunteered to be bound with the Darkin but she became to powerful and corrupted.
