So Challenger skin were actually deprecated?

In one of my old thread I noted that challenger skins were removed. Which seemed somewhat weird. Someone mentioned that they were doubling Championship skins and were intended to move to MSI. Since there is no teasing, news regarding Challenger skins does anyone knows whether they were deprecated? Or going to be released during MSI?
