Baron Nashor Lore Discussion

For such an iconic character in League of Legends, it surprising that Baron Nashor has no lore at the moment. I understand the Summoner's Rift is not strictly canon, but that doesn't mean there can't be some lore for the jungle creatures. For example, we know that Blue Sentinels are from Ionia and that Elemental Drakes get their powers from world runes. But the big final boss of the Rift, who holds the most influential buff, and even has an item named after him, has no lore at all.

So let's speculate... Baron Nashor is clearly a Void monster, but he (she? it?) lacks the apostrophe that other Void beasties have in their names. This apostrophe is an element of the Shuriman language and naming convetions, so we can conclude that Baron Nashor does not live in the southern continent. As far as I'm aware, there have been no mention of Void creatures in Ionia, and Illaoi claims in-game that Baron Nashor is small fry compated to the serpents that naturally inhabit the Blue Flame Isles, so Baron probably doesn't hang out there either of those places. So that means Baron Nashor likely lives in the northern continent.

Moving on... The most interesting thing to me about Baron Nashor is his title. A "Baron" is a ruler of an area, and unlike other titles like "earl" or "duke" the word "baron" carries a lot of negative connotations, suggesting cruel and harsh leadership. It also implies that Baron Nashor must have influenced and scared a Runeterran settlement pretty thoroughly to be know as "Baron Nashor" rather than just "Nashor". He would not be given this title unless he had proven himself to be the apex predator in a particular region, and thus begun to symbolically rule it.

Runeterra already has Barons. Chem-Barons, in particular, the crime lords of Zaun. However given how desnly populated Zaun and Piltover are it's fair to say that Baron Nashor does not live their currently. But it would be a pretty cool story in the future if Baron Nashor were to rise up from the depths to attack Zaun. The new Void lore does, after all, describe the Void as originating deep underground, and Zaun is built inside huge seemingly-bottomless chasms. Who knows what might be lurking at the bottom... (If anyone knows of any other "barons" in the lore, please share. I can only think of the chem-barons from memory.)

Another theory for Baron's lore: maybe somewhere in Noxus or the disputed lands there is a land called Nashor that is ruled by a Baron. But the Void beast attacks, wipes out the people and makes the ruined city its lair. The survivors might then call the monster "the Baron of Nashor".

Does anyone else have insights or theories as to what Baron Nashor's place might be in the modern lore?

Ahh sure let me give a superficial theory...

Sabator of Jandelle, the slayer of the hideous deepwyrm that woke every hundred years to feast.

Perhaps there's a connection between Nashor and apparent deepwyrms ?
