When I think about it, I feel like Void being survivable is the best choice.

We already have Shadow Isles for that. Shadow Isles consumes everything too.

What is the fun of an interdimensional place being impossible to survive? I think we have so much more potential in new Void. We could have a pathfinder, or a wonder gone wrong telling us about how Void looks like and how it is. In old lore, a human would die in seconds. That's boring when you think.

Now, what makes Void primarily dangerous are voidborns. Which is better than Void energy. That doesn't mean Void energy is not dangreous and terrifying anymore, just likely it is not dense everywhere generally to immediately threaten your life.

I imagine Void now as the Upside Down of the Stranger Things series. A place about monsters, kinda parallel to our universe. Unlikely to survive, but not impossible.

Void is a definitely the more harsh one, but we know LoL characters are more capable of to do than a few kids lol.

Kai'Sa being survivor of the Void feels so much space and alien but it is in Riot style and I find it unique even though in the first I didn't like it. Only problem I am left with is how beautiful she is while she shouldn't even have and understand beauty standards.

It's a question of moderation, I think. We already know that the Void mutates stuff (Kass, Scuttle, probably Jax).

I've got a sneaking suspicion based on what a Rioter left slip that the Void has areas of varying intensity in terms of its ambient mutagenic awfulness. We heard about 'the edge of the abyss', likely an area on the peripheral of the Void where the ambient doom is much lower, an area cluttered with all the detritus of civilizations that the Void can't digest for one reason or another.

Kai'Sa probably got dumped into this peripheral, where she was able to survive long enough to find and subdue her voidfriend. Once she had the suit, the deeper parts of the Void became open to her.

Kass, on the other hand, probably went through a portal to a much MUCH nastier part of the Void and as a result got corrupted in spite of his gear.

Just speculation on my part, of course.

My hesitation with the Void being survivable mostly comes from the way it's generally been presented so far with League's love for references. It's no secret that Mt. Targon was originally just a Spartan/300 joke, and Ionia is sort of a mishmash of Asian cultures. So I think the general view of the Void was that it's a Lovecraft sendup. The madness, the bizarre monsters, the overly apostrophe'd names.

And if we're going by those rules, it shouldn't be survivable, because the whole gimmick of Eldritch horror stuff is that you can never defeat it, only hope to avoid or resist it.

However, that's all assumption based on outdated lore and old trends. If Riot wants to make the Void more alien, and that opens up more story opportunities, I'm happy with that. I particularly like Rebonack's idea about it having varying levels of intensity.

It's not about being survivable to me. But the cost of suriving there. Kaisa seemed to have paid very little cost in the long run. Other then her voice actress being told to have emotion only on a few lines. The bio and other lore might change my mind though.

I like that it is survivable. I don't like from what been told (need to listen for myself still.) how positive kai'si is surviving it. Makes the place seem a bit of a joke when it was supposed to be worse than the shadow isles from how void fan boys would build it up. So a bit conflicted on it.

I like Riot fleshing out more of the Areas in Runeterra, they did it with Noxus this year. Before the Noxus lore update with Swain if I was in the lore I would never live in Noxus. After the update it doesn't seem like such a bad idea, there's advantages of both Noxus and Demacia when you compare them.

I think it would be a good idea to make it survivable.
