It's safe to say that Demacia, like most standard fantasy settings, is based on medieval Europe. Latin was a very common language back then, if i recall correctly it was the official language for a bunch of things but atleast for the church who still had alot of power.
Italian is one of the languages closest to latin i think, but most of europe has words derived from it. in fact it has influence all over the wortld because of this.
Mamma or mama aren't italian words, well they are but they aren't limited to italy. As a matter of fact it's probably the best example. As you will see in the links below the word is used in the uk, Belgium/netherlands, France, italy, sweden, nigeria and even japan (they had relations with the dutch quite early).

So far we've seen abunch of influences from different european cultures. Would be neat to hear some other names fit with other regions. Though i doubt i'll hear anything similar to where i'm from cuz somehow half earth's population thinks my country is either french or german, and they're not wrong but also not right.
