Poro Theories and Speculation

Hello!

With the end of the most recent game mode Snowdown and all its Poro goodness, I came to wonder what else is there to know about Poros. We were never really told much about them other than they are small cute balls of fluff that live in the Freljord. That made me wonder what kind of a creature Poros really are.

Assuming they are a social species, maybe they could have built cities or colonies for others of their kind to live in (kind of similar to ant colonies?). If they have built colonies and tend to live in communities, is there a kind of hierarchy of living that they live by? How would these social castes defined if they exist?

The recent game mode introduced the Poro King, being a massive, caped and crowned Poro that has the ability to control the Poros around him, but how did the king come to be? Is there a royal blood line that decides who is the king (perhaps the blood line is large)? Maybe it is magic that picks a random Poro to be their leader? Maybe the king never really dies in the game mode, and gets teleported away? Perhaps the king is chosen by the deeds other Poros have done, like an adventure or something of the sorts.

Nothing has ever been said about their age, gender ratio (if gender is applicable), or any way to differentiate a Poros gender (perhaps body and horn size)?

There are too many questions about these little guys that I think should be elaborated on, either with official lore or community speculation. Maybe we can theorize some ideas to get a clearer picture on what exactly Poros are.

My theory is that Poros are actually Yordles that live in the Frelijord. Midget Yordles....

My 2nd Theory is that maybe the Poro King isn't a king at all. Maybe he's like, a mythical beast that was the first Poro ever or something. I'm guessing that he used to be a human, and that he was a Spirit Walker (or whatever they're called) like Udyr, but he can have the Poro stance (plz Riot, add that), but he over-used it too much, and actually became THE Poro King. But aside from the Poros from being Yordles, I think that in the Frelijord, when people heard about the Poro King, they thought they had to sacrifice sheep to him, so they did. The Poro King would feel pity, hovering over the dead sheep, being decayed. Eventually, after 10 goats were sacrificed, he could (finally) walk on Runeterra, but like Soraka, when he touched that ground, he could be killed, but when he was killed, he'd just go back into the skies, where I believe is where the Kingdom of Poros are, built by the Poro King before he came to being a poro. Anyways, you would resurrect the dead sheep, but only as poros, in which they were 80% more better than everything than sheep.

Those are my theories, but I think my 2nd one is better than the 1st one

I have theorized about Poros being descendants of the Watchers, as a joke.

But...You never know.

For the Poro King, whenever he was dispelled he exploded into multiple smaller poros; maybe poros can combine themselves to form smarter poro creatures?
