When a champion is reworked, could we get a skin of the old base skin of the reworked champion?
So pretty much, I just was thinking awhile ago about how cool it would be if, when Riot reworks a champion, they make a brand new skin for the reworked champion that is just their base skin from before the rework. I feel like it would be fairly easy since they already have the skin made, they just need to get it to work with new ability set. This way, if you happened to be someone that loved a champion and then your champ got reworked, you at least get to keep some sort of nostalgia of your beloved champion.
Also, for those skins, Riot could make something where, for every 100,000 mastery points, you get 10% off in RP (therefore when you have 1,000,000 mastery points or higher, you get it for free), make them legacy skins, and only have them available for a short time. I feel they would be able to make some profit off of these skins while also being able to keep the people who have been playing these champions more interested and adding some nostalgia to the game when you see those skins.
I know that maybe keeping the full old base skin intact is difficult, if not impossible, in most cases, but I know that it isn't impossible to make them extremely similar, and keep the base splashart. And I also don't think that Riot should change any of the colors or anything that they don't NEED to change. The selling point would be the nostalgia of seeing the old skin and remembering games past.
Personally, I played Aatrox before his rework and I enjoyed him, and I feel that having that old base skin on him (although it would definitely look very weird) would be an enjoyable experience.
Anyways, let me know if anyone else here thinks that this is a good idea, I just thought of this and felt that this is something that other people may also think is a good idea.
