Awaken might be foreshadowing some juicy lore bits

From a Lore point of view, the cinematic might be set after events which were already narrated.

Riven has gone back to Noxus and is spending her time as a gladiator prisoner (notice how she is the only one buond in chains).
Jhin is now in Piltover and Camille is after him.
Karma has joined forces with Irelia and the some of the Kinkou in order to repel a new Noxus invasion (iirc Sion was awakened after the first invasion) and now even yasuo has openly joined the fight with Karma and Co.

I hope not. Riot has the biggest throbbing boner for Noxus and Ionia, and quite frankly, I'm over it. It's been done to death, and it resurfaces every single time we get any champion, lore, or anything regarding either nation. Like Riot, we get it, but stop browbeating us with the war. There ARE OTHER WARS TO HIGHLIGHT. They completely glossed over major activities happening in Demacia, The Shadow Isles, and the Freljord.

Highly doubt it. I looked forward to Illaoi drowning Miss Fortune as it was shown in the 2018 trailer, but nothing happened :(

The only one I can see happening is Camille vs Jhin because Jhin actually is on his way to Piltover. Everything else, scratch that, not canon.

People on the lore team have been teasing story developments for awhile, so I hope this is true. Would be psyched to see the story actually move forward the way it does in WoW and other games.

Tbf, I've never played WoW, but I get the impression that the slow crawl of the lore with each expansion is something they do pretty well.

I don't think that she willing went back to Noxus. Probably taken after the invasion that was shown.

I'm thinking for Riven it's more a case of during the second invasion of Ionia she gets captured and put in the same arena that Xin came from. Would be really cool to see a 'second invasion of Ionia' and Irelia and Karma and Akali and the Kinkou all come together to fight them off

In last years video Yasuo was attacked probably by Ionians but now he joined the other. Since it was revealed that Yasuo wasn't guilty. Or just a coincidence.

The Jhin one really got me. He was on his way to Zaun. So If he did proceed to go there, i wouldn't be surprised to see Camille hot on his trail. But does Camille even know Jhin or of him?
