Sometimes I really feel sad for the Riot Lore team
Because they put their blood, sweat, and tears into all this work, going as far as pushing unconventional ideas like audio dramas and making them succesful beyond expectations. It reminded me of the audio books I heard as a kid (mostly ones targeted at children back from the 70s), and I doubt I have even sat down to hear an audio drama at a single time in the last 15 years, as the medium is just too unconventional by todays standard. Heck, back in the day, RADIOS had audio dramas going on. Like, not niche senders, but them BIG guys, who even went out of their way to produce stuff like that. Good luck finding any of that on the airwaves today - would make being stuck in traffic a lot more entertaining that just the same 5 annoying pop-songs playing on repeat...
So all this effort, all this work, all this blood, sweat, and tears...
... and the gameplay balance department three doors down the corridor makes it all for naught, because they seem to actively drive people away from the game. Sadly, even the best lore will go left unread, if no one is even playing the actual game. Gotta hope Riot themselves has a Plan B for a new game to use all this wonderful lore in, after they let our well-known lead gameplay designer Mr. "I had several courses of online marketing, but no way to not make my posts look like they are content-less constructs for the sake of self-presentation" drive this one down into the mud for good.
I mean, it would be really a shame to let this wonderful world go to waste, right?!
