In Defense of Aatrox's Voiceover

So with more of his voicelines revealed, other than his in-combat interactions and taunts, I can safely say Aatrox is a little more than just a screaming Russian sociopath.

On the other hand...he is a Russian sociopath. Let me explain: I can see why people would be upset with his new personality. His new personality is definitely a different turn that most Aatrox players were DEFINITELY not too happy about, me included. I liked the wise, poetic and humble Darkin that Aatrox was, even his original Russian voiceover was a perfect blend of humble yet wrathful. However, I still have to give Riot credit for the new Aatrox voiceover. He has some pretty interesting lines, and when he's not in combat he still retains a calm mannerism, even in his animation and the way he walks.

I personally adore the new Aatrox VO, although I'm really sad that they removed the "WITNESS TRUTH!" line from his ult.

In general I think the new Aatrox VO is great,but I can understand it if people preferred the old one,because the change in tone is pretty drastic.

You know who he should sound like? You guys remember the 90s X-men Cartoon? Do you remember Apocalypse in that? He had presence and a voice to match. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OYt78FWfa5M There are hints of this in Aatrox new voice over but for every one of those great lines he quips about Taric's hair or Camille's knife legs.

Example, he says to a enemy Targonian: "I will find a way to tear down the heavens and reveal you as fiends. Not today obviously." That second part wasn't needed. The first bit was cool enough.

It's not that the quality of the VO is bad, it's not. It's just tired and cliche, and there is something to be said for even the most evil champions being calm/reserved in their speech.
