The quality of the skins are not a problem, imo. I like the direction they've taken by making the gemstone skins mainly Hextech skins, something I thought was going to be the theme when they initially released Hextech Annie. However, the limit of the system in this regard, unless you really like the skin, most gemstone skins may not interest you unless it's one for your main/ favorite champ.
Carlos teased a new reward system linked to skins coming later this year, around mid-season, perhaps it will also make use of some of your gemstones, idk.
Hextech Annie looks so good though, it’s a super high quality 1350 skin. The model, textures and VFX are all gorgeous.
I've got Annie already, and I'm sitting on 13 more. While Poppy is AMAZING and Malzahar looks creepy and awesome, I'm worried that if I spend them on one of them, someone I like better will come along.
Just get 20 masterwork keys/chests and play the rito skin crafting game. I personally don't like the visuals on the hextech skins, but some might.
Ikr hextech skins are ugly as sin. I cannot see why someone apart fron edgelords would want them
