Why aren't Ryze eyes glowing anymore?

In his most recent coming, we see Ryze having normal eyes, and they don't glow even when he is using magic. In his log-in screen we see his eyes glowing every time he tries to free himself with those disintegrations shockwaves or whatever was that spell. Any explanation?

It was said in From the Ashes, his eyes glow with unnatural color.

Ryze's eyes glow in the cinematic when he fought off the tendrils. It's probably only when he gets really serious that they glow.
