What Thematic Will Riot Go With a Fiddlesticks Rework?

With the reveal of , he seems to be executing the 'Swarm of Birds' fantasy a lot better and in a pretty interesting way, but a lot of people (me included) thought that the whole "Ravens (in his case, Crows) sitting around the map" thing would end up on FIDDLESTICKS instead of Swain. Not outting out Swain for filling that role, but what does that mean for Fiddle?

Can you exemplify the whole Fear aspect more rather than just 'Living Scarecrow with Crows?' It seems like he's in a weird, demonic trinity alongside Shaco and Nocturne. But the way I see it;

- Shown to embody literal fears and nightmares, as shown in the "For Demacia" story - Probably more based around madness, insanity and causing genuine chaos for people While 's isn't really that clear what he brings to the 'fear' table.

IMO -- and I think I might've mentioned this in another thread before -- one cool direction Riot could go in with Fiddlesticks' rework is to make him a territorial demon. The purpose of a scarecrow is to ward off intruders, so it would fit the champion thematically while tying into his demonic origins -- an unmoving, yet terrifying entity who punishes trespassers that have wandered into abandoned fields or spaces. This theme could then carry on into his gameplay, where his strength and strategic niche would be to punish counter-junglers who dare invade him on his own side of the map. In this iteration, then, Fiddlesticks would be the unassuming scarecrow you see lying quietly unperturbed in the distance -- nothing but a mere scarecrow to an unwary traveler (and players do tend to underestimate Fiddlesticks in game) -- but then you step into his domain, and the last thing you see is a rampaging mass of demonic energy and carrion birds.

In the Cinematic and Splash Art he appears significantly different than ingame, he wears green clothes and a 2 handed scythe

People... you dont read the updated lore before posting? Shaco and Fiddle arent in a "weird spot" right now, its clear the direction that Riot wants to take with them.

I think of these 3, Fiddlesticks is more likely to be shifted into the Shadow Isles. He's already got the look, what with the green glowy mist and everything, and scarecrows and the undead have a weird relationship. He could easily be the birds of the Shadow Isles that have come together into a murder and materialize as a scarecrow in order to wreak their own kind of terror on the living in the world.

Well Nocturne is said to be a demon in the new story(though the demacians may mistake him for one). While Shaco is said to be a puppet in his short lore,while Fiddle would more qualify as an undead. So honestly I doubt that there's going to be much of a connection between the 3,as riots current stances on them are completely different.

Willing to bet a harvester theme with him. (Scythe, farmland england accent, literal scarecrow, etc) Build up on those old scarecrow fabled in rural england sort of feel.

Well he was a solitary man accused of bringing famine to his village, then tied up and left for dead only to be resurrected by the very crows that fed on his remains.

So maybe his fear signifier would be his intense hatred of humanity and desire to make other suffer as he had out of vengeance.
