Is Sona still appropriate as a Demacian due to their anti-magic stance?

You'd think they'd view her Etwahl with extreme prejudice because it's a magical instrument, so one has to wonder whether or not she's actually a fit for Demacia anymore.

In any event, Sona lore plz. She can't just stay the mute big-boobed Miku...

She's not just the big-boobed Miku, come on.

She's the big-boobeed, mute Miku

Either way, though, in Demacia it seems to be suspected that her songs are suspected to be more than mundane music, at any rate.

To be honest I want some lore between Sona Lux because Lux is Sona's "biggest fan" and finding out that Sona is also another mage in hiding would be a good chance for something nice, no?

And not just because it's my filthy OTP

I think right now most people dont even realize its a magical tool! when she plays all of them think they are mesmerized by only her music, without knowing they are being affected with magic as well.

However there are a lot of things that she might have to lose (or stop showing them) in any lore update she gets in case she stays in Demacia , such as magical aura, talking to people through her mind, her instrument flying in front of her.

As Riot said sometime ago some of the changes in Lore are very Delicate because the tiniest changes in details can have cataclysmic tier of effect and contradictions ! i take it Sona is one of those cases, since Demacia update is very recent compare to her lore. updating her lore is going to be like walking on minefield.

But one thing i think Riot is trying to avoid is,they dont want to restrict any story update for characters because of this connection. they don't want to restrict Sona for example to certain limited Scenarios and possibilities because of her position in Demacia , that would make her very predictable now and in future. at the same time due to this reason updating her could be more challenging. so we might have to think beyond the Theories we have for this kind of lore update. the possibilities can be endless but question is how much Riot wants to keep her Lore true to its original one? what if she moves to lonia now?

Is Demacia strongly against the use of magic?

There's a 'Did you know' tip in League outlining that Demacian steel is coveted for its unique interactions with magic. I figured that's why Garen is able to stab the ground and his sword comes down above his enemies, because he in part, was using magic? Lux too is a sorceress.

Or is it more just a love/hate relationship with it? Love it if you're using it for us, hate it if you're not with us?

Your title kind of implies that Sona wasn't already magical or Demacia's stance on magic had changed. She'll always be a Demacian at heart, with or without magic. <3 Sona. All we have to do is hide her from Garen and she'll be fine.

no you get it wrong, people in demacia can use magic as long as they use their magic for the good of demacia

She hides her magic with music.

Well her magic is likely not that noticeable in the lore. Kinda like her old kit had passive effects that were barely noticeable.

Lux has magic yet still stays in Demacia.
