The Blessed Isles has to be one of the most fascinating places on Runeterra

Just about every piece of art and narrative content surrounding this region has me endlessly gushing over how freaking awesome it once was, and desperately wishing I could know and explore more. The concept behind the Isles itself is just so remarkably unique within the greater Runeterra world: a highly-advanced academic society based around safety, peace, and learning above all else. Citizens of the Isles clearly had a very deep understanding of the arcane, never having to worry about scarcity or warfare due to the natural magic and white mists shrouding the land (which later became the Black Mist after the Ruination), and studied the cosmos all while practicing their own religions.

What these faiths entailed exactly is up in the air; though the "Eye of Providence" motifs scattered about the Isles' architecture piques my interest and could potentially hold a clue -- this certainly wouldn't be the first place we've seen employ eye-related imagery on Runeterra... could they have perhaps worshipped the Watchers?

Overall, I'm extremely happy we finally got more on this long-lost haven, having been one of the few who bemoaned the lack of information before. There's this prevailing sense of mystery and the unknowable to the Isles that makes it a really fascinating place to explore and learn more about. Hell, I'd love to see a champion from there some day (aside from Yorick, Thresh, and Maokai), and I'm definitely in the bandwagon of wanting a MMORPG just to be able to explore the world further.

I hope a new Shadow Isles Champion will be released soon (should be next in line with Bandle City) and when that happens hopefully more lore will accompany it.

The Blessed Isles would be an awesome place to explore further. I have so many questions about what it was like back then and how that affects the now.

Like, are all those artefacts still intact after the Ruination? If so, the Shadow Islers are sitting on top of a lot of powerful stuff that could seriously screw things up.

It would be awesome if there was a champion from the Blessed Isles that isn't cursed or anything. Someone that was trapped in time before the Ruination./

Perhaps they could add someone who was not on the isle during the ruination but instead was in targon. Seeing as how Targon shares many traits with the bless isles in the fact they both have high levels of arcane and cosmic knowledge, and both are incredibly ancient civilizations, only Targon is not nessicarily peaceful. Like an ancient noxus vs demacia

All was well on the Blessed Isles until the Ruined King showed up. Next thing you know, you got Ghosts, Ghouls & Spooky Scary Skeletons all over the place. Speaking of the Ruined King, here's an Excerpt from the History of the Blessed Isles that perplexes me.

"Cities were designed to keep their inhabitants safe. Because the Isles were surrounded by white mist that led unguided travelers astray, there was no need for an army."

If there was a mist that kept Outsiders from coming to the isles, how did the Ruined King & his forces get to the Isles in the first place?

*[edit]- I ended up rereading it. Perhaps an inhabitant led the King & his forces there.
