I just waned to say that the music released with this event is truly fantastic. It captures the mood and flare of Bilgewater with a unique yet familiar sound. I love the BGM because it has this steady cadence to it, which helps get me in the groove for last hitting. The sound team at Riot always does great work with SFX and conveyance, so this is just a little extra shout out for another job well done. ^^

...but it isn't a generic pirate theme... 'tis was mistaken. Yes "pirate" music has common instrumentation... but that is like saying Bach or Bechtoven or whatever music is "all the same"...
BRAVEYpl0x1 votesI've never seen Black Sails. After listening to the intro theme, yeah, I see what you mean; that one melodic hook is eerily similar in both pieces. Could be some kind of common folk piece that they are both riffing on, or Riot is directly referencing Black Sails on purpose. I wouldn't call it IP theft, but I could see why you'd call it a knockoff.
