Change the Smite sound effect back

Can we get smite's sound effect reverted? I noticed that I could hardly hear it when I or the enemy jungler used it. Smite's sound effect was amazing before and doesn't even seem to be present currently.

We haven't made any changes the main Smite sound recently. We've added a few new smaller sounds for the new Smite item upgrades for the 2015 season changes to help communicate game-play information, but the core Smite sound has stayed consistent. I wonder if these items are bugged?

Was this just the normal Smite summoner spell? or one of the item upgraded Smite items available now?

When did you start noticing this?

Any additional info you can provide would be helpful when looking into this.
