League should let us choose the language we want to hear the game in

I was wondering whether or not league has an option that doesn't involve 3rd party tampering to change the language of the game. Many exchange students in my college have been using 3rd party software to change the language of the game ranging from korean to spanish. I wonder if riot would ever give us the option to change the in game language. What do you guys think?

No. You should have to play with the language of the server you are on. This is a team game relying heavily on communication. If you cannot communicate in the language of the server you are on, you are a constant point of frustration for every team you will be on.

This option would only encourage people to communicate in an inappropriate language for the server, assuming that it is ordained by riot, causing toxicity in games.

I really can't stress how annoying it is to queue up for a game, only to find that the other 4 people I'm playing with are a premade, and speaking only korean, chinese, or a language non native to North America, like Portuguese. It can get incredibly frustrating trying to figure out what they want too, as pings are often not enough. And if I ask for ganks early or something, I have no idea what to reply when all I can understand is my champions name.

It's a nice sentiment, but I think you should have to speak at least enough English to understand the announcer if you're playing on the NA Server. That way you can communicate just the essentials to your team. Like "Hard leash me" "No leash" "Going Blue then bot" "Going Red then Top" "Ward baron please" etc.

Riot: "No. We will never give you the option to change the VO."

Player: "Why?"

Riot: "To protect the life cycle!"

it would be cool if you could have different settings for different things.

For example, I'd love the announcer to be in a language I don't know but the tool tips and champions to still be in English.

This issue is only coming up because otaku want to hear their Japanese Ahri every game, huh?

I also want to know if it's wrong to use the 3rd party program to change language.

Is this a bannable offense?? I fell in love with the new Japanese voices and I want to use them

Wait a minute, you dont need a third party for that. Its already a game option.

It is kinda odd that you can't, as it is not like those languages don't exist since they are present on the relevant server (i.e. French and German on EUW). I find especially odd that there is no french VO for North America considering Canada as a large contigent of francophones (and as I stated the French VO is there...on EUW).

I'd probably just do a mix of Korean Lissandra, Italian Renekton and Russian Aatrox if I could select individual champion voices... I wish...

I'd like more mods available (if they are available), not just for the language...but the FONTS! change that shit. or let us change it without breaking the rules or ToS

Gimme a font that is fun, or perhaps a damage box that lists my stuff like RECOUNT, maybe a bigger sized or resizable map.

and maybe...just maybe, charge us an extra $5 to our accounts for that service (one time payment) and I'm sure the die hard league players will hop on with no problem other than the bitching/complaining of the cash grab.

as long as we can change what we see and interact with, without needing to change the game itself.

Really third party? I just change the region file of the game to add the language to the menu without changing any server functionality which is totally possible thx to eu server have multiple languages options
