Being an English dub fan for anime, the Japanese League of Legends voice acting is 100x better than the English voice acting. Seriously Riot, you need really to give more credit to your voice actors. A lot of the English voice acting in this game needs to be updated. :|

I hope Riot can include the Japanese voice acting track in the North American client.

Seriously people -_-

  1. If you want to change the languages I'm sure there is a way to tinker with the files to play the language you prefer. I mean look at worlds, I doubt they all have to play with an English version. Look it up.
  2. If you're an English dub fan, that means you watch the versions where they speak English.(gonna assume this was a typo?) I'll agree that most "Anime" is better in Japanese, but LoL's English voice acting is spot on.

Well, it usually depends on what anime you are watching (and no, this is not a typo, my watching preferences on anime is English voice acting). I personally found the English dubs of Sword Art Online, Black Bullet, Kill La Kill, Akame Ga Kill, and Code Geass to be spot on. Generally speaking, it's much harder to voice "loli" characters in English voice acting than Japanese since the vocal range in English is lower than Japanese. Likewise, if you want to talk about "manly" action anime, it's usually better to watch it in English. I enjoy the English voice acting of League of Legends since the directors are competent in casting cute yordles and give them reasonally high-ptiched voice (one of the reasons I main Lulu is because I adore Faye Mata's high-pitched cute voice acting of Lulu).

But I do wish Riot Games gives more credit to their voice actors, but keep in note that voice acting in Japan is a biggest business than in America (I mean, only the AAA video games give a lot of credit to their voice actors when compared to the voice actors who normally work in anime (I'm pretty sure most people who aren't anime fans heard of Chris Patton, David Wald, Luci Christian or Caitlynn French).

Watch JoJo (Jonathan, ie the first generation JoJo, has a somewhat wimpy sound, it was intended I can ensure you) and the newer Fist of the Northern Star in Japanese.

TTGL is also wondrously voice acted in Japanese, in terms of manliness, as a hot-blood series.

EDIT: Oh and Hajime no Ippo, a boxing anime.

Ok, then. While I do agree that it is hit or miss on a lot of dubs. When I started playing in season 2 Riot did put out a few videos about their Voice actors. Along with just about anyone who worked on creating LoL. It's just that the voice acting rarely gets changed. The one I remember most was an interview with the man who did Mordekaiser.
