Hi everyone!

I'm really excited to share with you the link for the Kindred sheet music: http://l3cdn.riotgames.com/music/kindred/Kindred_the_Eternal_Hunters_official_sheet_music.zip

Please don't hesitate to share this link on Reddit and YouTube, or direct people to this thread :)

Here are a few things about the music people have asked me, and I thought I'd compile them here:

"What influenced the music for Kindred?

Throughout the process, I was in touch with the writers and promo team to shape the music of the champion. The art my colleagues worked on was also a huge influence on the music. The theme you hear in the piece was the very first thing I wrote when I sat down to work on Kindred.

Why did you choose to use cello and piano?

I wanted to portray Lamb’s agile and precise attributes, and Wolf’s aggressive character. At the same time, both sides of Kindred are intertwined, and it only seemed appropriate to have them dance together and around each other!

Will there be more music similar to Kindred’s coming from Riot in the future?

It’s not impossible, but very unlikely. The Riot music team strives to come up with unique music for each one of our champions. The music has to encapsulate the art, the lore and the gameplay of the champion within a short track. If we did our job right, that means that music is so specific to each champ that it probably wouldn’t fit another character!

What are all these sounds around the piano and cello performance?

These are actual recordings of blue magic! Powerful stuff."

Please don't hesitate to ask any Kindred music-related question you'd like!

Ive made an arrangement of that on noteflight. No where near perfect, but it should give you a good place to start. I did add some of my own stuff but most of it is what i heard.

THIS! I've been looking all over! I even contacted Riot Games support to ask if they might be able to contact the composer of the song. They said they couldn't, but that we could ask in a forum thread. Anyone try this yet...?

I've updated my client and I'm just sitting here listening to the music. It's really beautiful. I think I'll just stay in the login screen for a bit more.

I'm extreamlly glad you guys put the effort you do into keeping emotion in the music that shows a deep history to each character. Some day i hope there will be a live orchestral concert of the pieces and music :) I would be more than willing to play

LudovicoOct 15, 20154 votes

Do you know when the piece will be available on soundcloud??

There are youtube versions of the login-screen, but I really prefer the official soundcloud :) !

XzooOct 20, 20151 votes

Already is ^~^

We've got you covered with Soundcloud (the Rioter's whispered in my ear): https://soundcloud.com/leagueoflegends/tracks

Just cross your fingers for it being added really soon :)

There's actually a bug that lets that happen, if you minimize and open the window again at the right times, during the login process.

Can you share more sheet music or will you in the future?

SonofTillOct 14, 20152 votes

I work in a music shop and some of the piano instructors have gone gaga over this. Is there any way we could see more sheet music in the future? I personally would love to see Lulu and Shaco's Quirky Encounter.

Ignis0Oct 16, 20151 votes

Yes we need sheet music riot. I wouldn't mind getting Quinn's theme and Tidecaller.

captainkaigerOct 14, 20152 votes

I love that you guys chose to use a cello for this piece, since I play the cello myself. It's a wonderful, overlooked instrument oftentimes.

I'm still waiting for sheet music on Yasuo 's flute theme.

DaenOct 14, 20151 votes

If I ever actually get around to it I might transcribe it, he has a great theme.

nightsharksOct 14, 20152 votes

I haven't heard it personally (I started playing after he was released, so I never heard his login) but I'll do it once I feel motivated enough. Absolute pitch has its perks haha

Ah lucky. Wish I had perfect/absolute pitch. Been trying to uh 'learn' but idk the only key I can tell apart from the others is C. My relative pitch is okay though.

in the piano part, take every note and raise it one step up. may need other clarinet players to get the chords.

Thx a lot for scores!

what are all these fillers man? lets talk about marksmen and items rework already or we have to wait until finals are done?

Pr3m13rOct 15, 20151 votes

Hey! Just wanted to know if there would be releases of sheet music for more of the music of the League. Some themes you just can't help but enjoy and want to play (ex. Diana's theme). Are there any plans in the works to make scores, from the solo pieces to the orchestral, available to the public? Keep making masterpieces! Sona

Your music is wonderful! Thank you for sharing the sheet music and making a truly unique experience. I just have to ask: who do you guys get to perform this music? They did a great job with the performance, and I love the fact that you guys still use the touch of live performance! So many companies use digital instruments lately, it's a relief to hear something this great come from performers :)

Hey thephatkid,

Thanks for noticing :)

Cameron Rose blessed us with his wonderful cello performance on this. He's a monster cello player.

Cheers!

Hey Hollow,

This is truly inspiring piano work, congrats on both transcribing and playing this!

From a composer's perspective, it's truly heart-warming to see people put in so much effort and dedication into making our music their own. You and all of those who have been playing this couldn't pay a better tribute to what we do :)

YAAAY SHEET MUSIC!

Edit: Now that my awesomeness freakout is over, some context: I am a musician myself (I play the French Horn) and I think it's really cool that I might be able to actually play some music from League. Would it be possible for other music to have its sheet music released?

NiveisOct 21, 20151 votes

I'm so pleased you posted this, I was going to request it. I play cello, and as soon as I heard the theme I wanted the music for it. THANK YOU SO MUCH.

By far my most favorite piece of music from this game. Absolutely love how the cello plays such a major role in the completion of this piece. Keep up the great work!

BrüllaffOct 24, 20151 votes

Oh shit... :D It took me almost 6 hours to arrange it on my own and then, when I searched for the composer, i found THIS... Nevermind, it´s a beautiful piece of music and I love this song. Thank you Ed! :)
